Audio Bar es un espacio semanal en el que comparto mis descubrimientos musicales de los últimos 7 días, ya sea gracias a Spotify, YouTube, recomendaciones de amigos y conocidos, o mi propia e insaciable curiosidad por nueva música.

Ren - Hi Ren

According to Wikipedia "Ren Erin Gill, known professionally as Ren, is a Welsh singer-songwriter, producer, rapper, busker, poet and multi-instrumentalist known for his collaborative musical work with other singers", but does not mention most importantly, that he is one of the most talented musicians of the moment.
I met Ren a few months ago as part of the group 'The Big Push', and already at that moment he seemed hyper-talented to me, but after seeing what he's doing recently on his own, and the recognition he's finally getting, I think he is a true genius, and as proof is this impressive song recorded in a single take.
Según Wikipedia "Ren Erin Gill, conocido profesionalmente como Ren, es un cantautor, productor, rapero, músico callejero, poeta y multi-instrumentista galés conocido por su trabajo musical colaborativo con otros cantantes", pero no dice lo más importante, que es uno de los músicos más talentosos del momento.
Conocí hace unos meses a Ren como parte del grupo 'The Big Push', y ya en ese momento me pareció alguien hiper-talentoso, pero después de ver lo que está haciendo recientemente en solitario, y el reconocimiento que finalmente está teniendo, creo que es un verdadero genio, y como muestra está impactante canción grabada en una sola toma.
Goldfrapp - Annabel

The first album by Goldfrapp is one of my favorites of all time, and although the turn she gave to her career afterward has never fully convinced me, I have to admit that despite my demands, she has truly remarkable themes on each of their albums.
Goldfrapp's voice is simply beautiful, and she is one of those singers who knows how to show us her interpretative ability in each song without having to do any frills. This is one of my favorites from all her repertoire, I hope you like it.
El primer disco de Goldfrapp es mis favoritos de todos los tiempos, y aunque el giro que dio después a sus carrera nunca me ha convencido del todo, tengo que reconocer que a pesar de mis exigencias, tiene temas verdaderamente notables en cada uno de sus álbums.
La voz de Goldfrapp es simplemente hermosa, y es de esas cantantes que sin tener que hacer florituras sabe demostrarnos su capacidad interpretativa en cada canción. Este es una de mis favoritas de todo su repertorio, espero sea de su agrado.
Daniel Caesar - Get You

I discovered Daniel Caesar less than two months ago thanks to an interview he did with Apple Music, and the truth is that what aroused my curiosity was the way the interviewer spoke to him, with genuine respect and appreciation for his work.
When I finished watching the interview I listened to his latest album and it was a very pleasant surprise. Despite the fact that the soul genre is one of those that attracts me the least, Daniel Caesar's voice and his minimalist proposal that mixes soul with jazz has me truly hooked, it is undoubtedly one of my discoveries of the year.
Conocí a Daniel Caesar hace menos de dos meses gracias a una entrevista que le hizo Apple Music, y la verdad lo que despertó mi curiosidad fue la manera en que la entrevistadora hablaba con él, con un respeto y reconocimiento genuinos a su trabajo.
Al terminar de ver la entrevista escuché su último disco y me lleve una muy placentera sorpresa. A pesar de que el género soul es de los que menos me atraen, la voz de Daniel Caesar y su propuesta minimalista que mezcla el soul con el jazz me tiene verdaderamente enganchado, es sin duda uno de mis descubrimientos del año.
Kevin Johansen - Anoche Soñé Contigo

I discovered Kevin Johansen a year or two ago, and despite his last name, he is an Argentine-American Latino singer, who achieves a very interesting mix of Argentinean and Latino rhythms with po and alternative music, with a few hints of avant garde.
One thing I like about Johansen's music is that it seems like he can take any popular genre and take it to its bare minimum and make it sound sophisticated and accessible to everyone, even those who don't usually listen to those genres. This is one of his best known songs, and one of my favorites, I hope you enjoy it.
Descubrí a Kevin Johansen hace uno o dos años, y a pesar de su apellido es un cantante latino argentino-estadounidense, que logra una muy interesante mezcla de los ritmos argentinos, y latinos en general con la música pop y alternativa, con algunos tintes de avant garde.
Algo que me gusta de la música de Johansen es que pareciera que puede agarrar cualquier género popular y llevarlo a su mínima expresión y hacerlo sonar sofisticado y accesible para todo mundo, incluso aquellos que no suele escuchar esos géneros. Este es uno de sus temas más conocidos, y uno de mis favoritos, espero lo disfruten.
