¡Hola, amigos de Hive! Les saludo en mi primer blog después de mi presentación ante la comunidad. Luego de mucho pensarlo y de analizar las posibilidades, me decidí por hacer este trabajo que pienso puede hablar mucho de mí y mis gustos musicales. Pero además de esto, el tema que presento hoy es uno de esos clásicos que jamás pasarán de moda y que ha sido un referente de la obra del compositor que lo creó.
Hello, dear friends of Hive! I greet you in my first official post after my introduction to the community. For this entrance I thought I could show you this work I consider might speak a lot about me and my musical preferences. But also, this song stands as a all-times-classic and maybe the better representative from its author.
Sin duda el Bossa Nova es todo un universo lleno de sonidos y colores, que llevan a quien sabe disfrutarlo a un viaje por el amor, la melancolía y lo trascendental; "Wave", es uno de esos temas. Aquí te hablo un poco acerca del cover y cómo lo produje.
No doubts bossa nova is a whole color and sound universe you might enjoy while it takes you through love, melancoly and a transcendental journey; "Wave" is definitely one of those musical pieces. Next I tell you about this cover and how I got to make it.
ACERCA DEL COVER
Though I knew I could have bring you a instrumental version of this song, I also accept I didn't want to prescind of the beautiful message in the lyrics. Non well experimented in art of singing, you will be listening to my sentimental partner's wonderful voice.
As Siomara Salmerón had made a path taking part in a few local bands, and for her experience with traditional and popular music in different venezuelan styles and also latincamerican music, as mere bossa nova, there couldn't be anyone better than her, with her pretty sound, to help me accomplish this in well artistic level.
I arranged some other elements, such as drums and bass to bring quality to the accompaniment. A little hard word I assumed according to the importance of expressiveness, which defines this genre by the adecuate use of shades and dinamics.

GRABACIÓN Y PRODUCCIÓN
RECORD AND PRODUCTION
It's almost for mystic that I have arrived to musical production ambiance. It started as a minusculus work of recording guitars for a friend, and became frequent, then I had to make myself of software and hardware improvements, esential for keep doing my work more professionally, and... Ta-dah!
Of course, I use my ordenator, where I set Studio One 5 and Reaper as my chosen DAWs for also editing , mixing and some mastering. I'm not an expert in last two, but I deliver the best my abilities allow me.
I make use of a tool a good friend and producer showed to me. It is Addictive Drums 2 I am refering to. It is absolutely my favorite, but not my first, as it is Amplitube 5. Anyways... I have my resources, but I count with the support of my friend Augusto Cordova, who has wide experience in musical production, and is also well known in the city. I mean, this knows how to make things happen and taking it to a higher level. Artefactos Studio is one of those spaces you want to return to, where you will find equipment to produce your music with quality. Augusto always be focussed in fixing it for you.
