Ciertamente esta idea a estado retumbando un poco en mi cabeza debido a como el mundo a venido imponiendo lo "políticamente correcto" como una verdad absoluta que hay que seguir porque es un acuerdo social (acuerdo que yo no firme y si ustedes lo hicieron por favor comentenlo).
Certainly this idea has been bouncing around in my head a bit because of how the world has been imposing "political correctness" as an absolute truth that must be followed because it is a social agreement (an agreement that I did not sign and if you did please comment on it).
Hay algo que sinceramente no entendía y es el ¡¡¡¿¿¿PORQUE LAS PERSONAS ELIGEN SER IGUALES POR SOBRE LA CAPACIDAD DE SER LIBRES???!!!
Si hay alguien que me ha quitado esa duda de la cabeza, es la maravillosa y brillante AYN RAND, fundadora de la filosofía del objetivismo, la cual, en su obra maestra LA REBELIÓN DE ATLAS nos dice la gente no quiere pensar, y cuanto mayores son sus problemas, menos quiere pensar pero instintivamente sabe que debería hacerlo, entonces siente culpa. Por tal motivo, la gente bendecirá y seguirá a quién le ofrezca una justificación para no pensar. Alguien que convierta su pecado, su debilidad y su culpa, en una virtud de gran altura intelectual , pero ahora mi pregunta es esta... ¡¡¡¡¿¿¿¿Como se le hace entender esto a la gente que no le gusta leer todo para internalizar este contexto y que no ven salida de las atrocidades de cuales vivimos por culpa de la falta de voluntad de pensamiento????!!!!
Y pues, la respuesta mas simple que mi mente dejo salir es, la música.
There is something that I honestly did not understand and that is the WHY DO PEOPLE CHOOSE TO BE EQUAL OVER THE ABILITY TO BE FREE??!!!!!
If there is anyone who has taken that doubt out of my head, it is the wonderful and brilliant AYN RAND, founder of the philosophy of objectivism, who, in her masterpiece ATLAS STRUGGLED tells us people don't want to think, and the bigger their problems are, the less they want to think but instinctively know they should, so they feel guilt. Therefore, people will bless and follow whoever offers them a justification for not thinking. Someone who turns his sin, his weakness and his guilt, into a virtue of great intellectual stature, but now my question is this.... How do you make people understand this who do not like to read everything to internalize this context and do not see a way out of the atrocities we live because of the unwillingness of thinking????!!!!
And so, the simplest answer that my mind let out is, music.
Lo queramos o no nosotros los músicos (y los artistas en general ya que a este gremio es en el que me quiero enfocar) somos las personas que mas moldeamos a los individuos. Somos quienes a través de melodías, y patrones rítmicos repetitivos, hacemos que con palabras bien sean simples o complejas, se planten las semillas de la vida de una idea, que puede representar la salvación o la perdición de las personas que reciben dicho mensaje.
Whether we want it or not, we musicians (and artists in general, since this is the guild I want to focus on) are the people who most mold individuals. We are the ones who, through melodies and repetitive rhythmic patterns, make simple or complex words plant the seeds of life of an idea, which can represent the salvation or the perdition of the people who receive the message.
Basta solo con ver las tendencias que siguen las personas que escuchan diferentes tipos de géneros musicales. De como se viste, su jerga, sus hábitos y su tipo de comportamiento. Sin duda alguna la música despierta en sus amantes hábitos que se ven justificados por lo que constantemente escuchan.
Just look at the trends followed by people who listen to different types of music genres. From the way they dress, their slang, their habits and their type of behavior. Undoubtedly, music awakens in its lovers habits that are justified by what they constantly listen to.
Ahora bien eso también es ver las cosas desde un angulo muy simple, ya que no solo es el ritmo como ya dije lo que condiciona muchas veces la canción, también el contenido de la canción es muy importante ya que si escuchamos canciones con ritmos alegres pero contenido deprimente de un momento a otro vamos a sentirnos deprimidos por el solo hecho de imaginar lo que la misma nos dice y repetir lo mismo una y otra vez.
Now that is also to see things from a very simple angle, since it is not only the rhythm as I said what conditions many times the song, also the content of the song is very important because if we listen to songs with happy rhythms but depressing content from one moment to another we will feel depressed by the mere fact of imagining what it tells us and repeating the same thing over and over again.
Creo fervientemente que tenemos que escuchar música muy variada y no solo quedarnos en un solo genero en el cual nos sintamos cómodos ya que debido a esto, podemos perder todo el espectro de pensamiento y de hermosas sensaciones que el mundo puede llegar a ofrecernos y con ello estar viviendo una vida a medias.
I fervently believe that we have to listen to a variety of music and not just stay in a single genre in which we feel comfortable because because because of this, we can lose the entire spectrum of thought and beautiful sensations that the world can offer us and thus be living a half-life.
Con esta creencia que tengo también entra una labor obligatoria, que mas allá de la profesión artística, forma parte de nuestra necesidad de evolución como seres vivos. La necesidad de ser libres.
With this belief I have also enters a mandatory work, that beyond the artistic profession, is part of our need for evolution as living beings. The need to be free.

Por ello este pensamiento que he tenido durante todo este tiempo, el cual he llegado a alimentar con dudas, me ha llevado a la conclusión de que nosotros los artistas y sobre todo los músicos quienes somos puestos en los oídos de una persona de manera voluntaria y repetitiva debemos de hacer música que nos aliente la necesidad de pensar. Que perdamos el miedo al pensamiento, que no solo nos dediquemos a bajar o subir autoestimas a través de amores y desamores.
Therefore this thought that I have had during all this time, which I have come to feed with doubts, has led me to the conclusion that we artists and especially musicians who are put in the ears of a person voluntarily and repetitively must make music that encourages us the need to think. That we lose the fear of thinking, that we do not only dedicate ourselves to lowering or raising self-esteem through loves and dislikes.
Veo con preocupación como muy poca música habla de temas controversiales y se enfocan en cada vez mas cosas banales o puramente carnales, y debido a esto la filosofía de la gente se ha vuelto el ser aborrecedores a la realidad, el amor por temor a la soledad y no como un acto de validez y agradecimiento propio hacia la vida misma, el confundir el temor a la muerte con amor hacia la vida, la falta de egoísmo racional de la sociedad y esta creciente necesidad de creer que el poner a los demás por sobre tu propia existencia es un acto de la mas grande de las hazañas, como cuando se dice yo sin ti no valgo nada, eres mi rayo de luz en mi oscura soledad o vaya a saber cuantas mas expresiones de este tipo.
I see with concern how little music speaks of controversial issues and focus on more and more banal or purely carnal things, and because of this the philosophy of the people has become the haters of reality, love for fear of loneliness and not as an act of validity and gratitude towards life itself, confusing the fear of death with love for life, the lack of rational selfishness of society and this growing need to believe that putting others above your own existence is an act of the greatest of feats, as when people say I am worthless without you, you are my ray of light in my dark loneliness or who knows how many more expressions of this type.
Por ello propongo a los músicos, compositores y artistas que repensemos el arte como una manifestación de lo que en principio debe de haber sido, una muestra de amor propio con ganas de ser compartido y dar luz a aquellos seres que están en búsqueda de su propia felicidad como en vez de lo que es ahora, una especie de destello lumínico divino que intenta convencernos de que el suicidio es un deber moral.
That is why I propose to musicians, composers and artists that we rethink art as a manifestation of what it should have been in principle, a sample of self-love with the desire to be shared and give light to those beings who are in search of their own happiness instead of what it is now, a kind of divine flash of light that tries to convince us that suicide is a moral duty.
Tu planteamiento es excelente, el gran problema que está implícito es que lo que predomina musicalmente tampoco responde a las necesidades de la gente sino de una industria que se ha adueñado de todo. Por supuesto, esto no desdice de lo que planteas, todos tenemos el deber de apuntar hacia un mundo mejor y a contribuir a crear consciencia y que nuestra música se convierta en alimento para el alma, para un alma nueva que esté más acorde al mundo que necesitamos.
Muy acertado el comentario pero quiero complementarlo un poco más. La cuestión no está en que la música está hecha en base a la industria y sus necesidades, lo que planteo aqui es que esta hecha para que los que en esta se interesen mutilen el recurso que nos ha diferenciado de los animales, el mismo que nos ha hecho evolucionar y alzarnos por encima de la demás especies, una industria que impone la aniquilación de la herramienta que nos ha hecho grandes, la aniquilación de la capacidad de pensar.
