Good afternoon Hive music curators of pedigree and taste. Feast on this supercut I worked up of my latest modular synth twitch adventure.
This journey starts shortly after cutting a live drum loop into my Digitakt, setting some p-lock filter and chop points and getting generative, Steevio-style on the modular. 100 percent improvisation ... hearing what you are hearing for the first time. I'm super pleased with the bass timbre (AJH Minimod) and the "P-bass through an SVT with the top rolled off" tone it was emulating. Later in the session I bring in some dissonant Buchla-style generative sequencing via the Dannysound Cali Osc and timbre and a counterrhythm on a granular morphagene vocal sample getting grain size and location sequencing / nonsensical jamming via the Make Noise Rene. Stereo chords hitting Mutable Clouds, somehow still providing inspiration years later via aggressive modulation.
