This time I come to talk about two drummers who have incorporated techniques, rhythms and ways of composing totally different from what any musician would be used to.

Esta vez les vengo a hablar sobre dos bateristas que han incorporado técnicas, ritmos y maneras de componer totalmente distintas a la que cualquier musico estaría acostumbrado.
DANNY CAREY

Known for playing in the American progressive metal band TOOL, created in 1990 in the city of Los Angeles, California.
Danny from a very young age began to play jazz at school, with the passing of time he was already a very experienced musician in the Kansas City Jazz scene. His studies in percussion are extremely broad, going through geometry theory, science and metaphysics.
The wide variety of unusual sounds and techniques, including polyrhythmic and totally confusing patterns for any traditional drummer makes him a virtuous drummer and is a reference for many drummers in the world.
Conocido por tocar en la banda estadounidense de metal progresivo TOOL, creada en 1990 en la ciudad de los ángeles california.
Danny desde muy niño comenzó a tocar jazz en el colegio, con el pasar del tiempo ya era un musico muy experimentado en la escena Jazz de Kansas City. Sus estudios en percusión son extremadamente amplios pasando por teoría de geometría, ciencia y metafísica.
La gran variedad de sonidos y técnicas inusuales, incluyendo polirítmica y patrones totalmente confusos para cualquier baterista tradicional lo hace un baterista virtuoso y es referencia para muchos bateristas en el mundo.

Drummer for the extreme metal band GOJIRA, in 2012 he was considered the best modern metal drummer by metalsucks.org magazine.
What characterizes Mario is the change in intensity when playing, and the integration of percussion sounds unrelated to what is actually an instrument, in his recordings he can add the sounds of a door, or a log, for example.
Mario's speed and accuracy are characteristic of most of his songs, but beyond that, the energy that he emits in each beat to the drums is unmatched.
Baterista de la banda de metal extremo GOJIRA, en 2012 la revista metalsucks.org lo corono como el mejor baterista de metal moderno.
Lo que caracteriza a Mario, es el cambio de intensidad al momento de tocar, y la integración de sonios de percusión ajenos a lo que en realidad es un instrumento, en sus grabaciones puede agregar los sonidos de una puerta, o un tronco, por ejemplo.
La rapidez y la exactitud de Mario es algo característico en la mayoría de sus canciones, pero más allá de eso, la energía que emite en cada golpe a los tambores, es inigualable.
