Apreciada comunidad de Hive, saludos! hoy les presento mi primera producción discográfica, me pareció propicio traerla a la red ya que estamos en época de Carnaval, por tal motivo, les presento el tema Carnaval en el Cielo, el autor es mi gran amigo, compositor y arreglista William García, quien incondicionalmente se brindó para hacer este aporte a nuestra nación y al mundo entero, además, aprovechando la oportunidad de pertenecer a esta gran comunidad y así poder llegar a mucha gente para que conozcan parte de la diversidad musical en Venezuela.
El disco Folcloreando con Gerónima, tiene como contenido varios géneros de la música tradicional venezolana. Hoy lo comparto con ustedes y les cuento que hacerlo fue una experiencia maravillosa, contar con la presencia de amigos músicos de alta calidad humana y profesionalismo a los cuales les agradezco infinitamente el haberme acompañado... en el tema Carnaval en el Cielo, me acompañan William García en el Cuatro, mandolina, coros, bajo y arreglo musical, en la Percusión: Iván Lira, Percusión Menor, Stell Pan, edición y matrizaje: Jesús Muñoz y en los coros Jesús Berenzola, Belkis Figuera y Francis Jiménez.
Por otra parte, es propicio escribirles un poco sobre El Calipso en Venezuela, este género surge en el pueblo de El Callao, Estado Bolivar, debido a la influencia cultural de las Antillas los cuales ya tenían como tradición hacer desfiles de comparsas en la época de Carnaval, por los años 1870 muchos pobladores de esas islas llegan a nuestro país para explotar las minas de oro y diamante, estos crearon gran impacto a nivel social con un nuevo dialecto llamado patois, siendo producto de una gran variedad de lenguas de esclavos africanos que se mezclaron entre el Inglés y el Francés originando su propio idioma, por tal motivo, el Calipso generalmente se canta en patois, aunque en la actualidad también lo podemos escuchar en español.
El Calipso, está intimamente ligado al Carnaval en Venezuela, es una manifestación cultural que va de generación en generación, se celebra en el Estado Bolivar, Sucre, Monagas y otros estados. Generalmente, en el Callao y Carúpano, la población se desborda por las calles celebrando al ritmo de los Bumbac, el Cuatro Venezolano, Campana, Rayo, entre otros instrumentos que actualmente le han incorporado, tales como elementos electroacústicos, sinterizadores, etc. Asimismo, es importante resaltar que el Calipso y la Fiesta de Carnaval forman parte del Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial de la Humanidad a través de la UNESCO decretado así el primero de diciembre de 2016.
El Calipso y el Carnaval, representan en nuestro país fiesta, algarabía, comparsas, disfraces, máscaras, alegría, música, compartir, protesta, cuentos, sincretismo, refranes, personajes importantes como el Minero, Medio Pinto, Madamas, disfraces y liberación que invita a la celebración.

Today I present my first record production, I thought it appropriate to bring it to the network since we are in Carnival time, for this reason, I present the song Carnaval en el Cielo, the author is my great friend, composer and arranger William Garcia, who unconditionally offered to make this contribution to our nation and the world, also, taking the opportunity to belong to this great community and thus to reach many people to know part of the musical diversity in Venezuela.
The album Folcloreando con Gerónima, contains several genres of traditional Venezuelan music. Today I share it with you and I tell you that doing it was a wonderful experience, having the presence of friends musicians of high human quality and professionalism to whom I am infinitely grateful for having accompanied me... in the song Carnaval en el Cielo, I am accompanied by William García in the Cuatro, mandolin, choirs, bass and musical arrangement, in the Percussion: Iván Lira, Minor Percussion, Stell Pan, edition and matrixing: Jesús Muñoz and in the choirs Jesús Berenzola, Belkis Figuera and Francis Jiménez.
On the other hand, it is appropriate to write a little about Calypso in Venezuela, this genre arises in the town of El Callao, Bolivar State, due to the cultural influence of the Antilles which already had as a tradition to make parades of troupes at the time of Carnival, by the 1870s many settlers of those islands come to our country to exploit the gold and diamond mines, These created a great social impact with a new dialect called patois, being the product of a great variety of languages of African slaves that were mixed between English and French originating their own language, for this reason, Calypso is generally sung in patois, although nowadays we can also listen to it in Spanish.
The Calypso is intimately linked to the Carnival in Venezuela, it is a cultural manifestation that goes from generation to generation, it is celebrated in the State of Bolivar, Sucre, Monagas and other states. Generally, in Callao and Carúpano, the population overflows through the streets celebrating to the rhythm of the Bumbac, the Venezuelan Cuatro, Campana, Rayo, among other instruments that have currently been incorporated, such as electroacoustic elements, sinterizers, etc. Likewise, it is important to highlight that the Calypso and the Carnival Festival are part of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity through UNESCO decreed so on December 1, 2016.
The Calypso and the Carnival, represent in our country party, hullabaloo, processions, costumes, masks, joy, music, sharing, protest, stories, syncretism, sayings, important characters such as the Minero, Medio Pinto, Madamas, costumes and liberation that invites to the celebration.
