¡Bienvenidos de nuevo a mi blog, chicos! El día de hoy les traigo mi clásica reseña musical de todas las semanas, la temática seleccionada para el día de hoy me impresiona, porque muchas veces busco la forma de traer más artistas o más canciones y me encanta darme cuenta de que no he sacado a relucir muchos de los que más me gustan, en este caso decidí traer a Sam Smith.
Debo admitir que este Sam Smith es el antiguo, porque el Sam Smith de la actualidad no me gusta mucho, siento que el cambio drástico de concepto motivado a su ideología de género tergiversó un poco el estilo que tenía y volvió su carrera musical una cosa totalmente diferente a la que yo adoraba, no es nada personal, es cuestión de sonido, letra y concepto, este nuevo cúmulo de cosas no me gusta mucho.
Así que, voy a traerles mis canciones favoritas de él en su época vieja.

Today I bring you my classic music review of every week, the theme selected for today impresses me, because many times I look for the way to bring more artists or more songs and I love to realize that I have not brought up many of the ones I like the most, in this case I decided to bring Sam Smith.
I must admit that this Sam Smith is the old one, because the Sam Smith of today I don't like very much, I feel that the drastic change of concept motivated to his gender ideology twisted a little bit the style he had and turned his musical career a totally different thing to the one I adored, it's nothing personal, it's a matter of sound, lyrics and concept, this new accumulation of things I don't like very much.

Comienzo esta reseña con este TEMAZO de Sam Smith que debo decir que comenzó atrapándome porque viví esta letra con toda la literalidad posible al respecto, por lo que conecté demasiado con ella y cada vez que la escucho, un pedazo de mí recuerda esos momentos oscuros y es difícil, pero es una emoción hermosa.
A nivel de composición, me parece una obra maestra en todo sentido, la melodía, las voces de apoyo, el estribillo, la dinámica de la voz de Sam Smith es simplemente impresionante y magnífica.
Decidí traer esta versión acústica porque me gusta mucho más que la versión original, siento que tiene mucha más alma, más conexión entre todos los artistas que hacen sinergia para que Sam Smith se luzca.
Si no me creen que amo demasiado esta canción, simplemente escuchen esta versión que hice de esa misma canción hace 3 años:

I start this review with this GREAT song by Sam Smith that I must say that it started catching me because I lived this lyric with all the literalness possible about it, so I connected too much with it and every time I listen to it, a piece of me remembers those dark moments and it's hard, but it's a beautiful emotion.
On a songwriting level, I think it's a masterpiece in every way, the melody, the backing vocals, the chorus, the dynamics of Sam Smith's voice is just stunning and magnificent.
I decided to bring this acoustic version because I like it much more than the original version, I feel it has much more soul, more connection between all the artists that make synergy for Sam Smith to shine.

2.- Stay With Me
Muchos conocimos a Sam Smith con esta canción y no es para menos, este es como un himno de su carrera, es imposible no recordar los buenos momentos en los que pudimos conectar con él a través de esta canción.
Recuerdo que la primera vez que escuché a Sam Smith en vivo fue justo con esta canción, no recuerdo en qué premiaciones eran, posiblemente unos Grammy, sin embargo, si quisiera destacar esta canción a nivel acústico, debo admitir que su versión acústica para cantar en BBC fue algo de otro planeta, si no me creen, acá se las dejo:
Many of us met Sam Smith with this song and it is not for less, this is like an anthem of his career, it is impossible not to remember the good times in which we could connect with him through this song.
I remember the first time I heard Sam Smith live was just with this song, I do not remember what awards were, possibly a Grammy, however, if I would like to highlight this song acoustic level, I must admit that his acoustic version to sing on BBC was something from another planet, if you do not believe me, here I leave them:
3.- Dancing With A Stranger ft Normani
Esta fue la primera vez que escuché a Sam Smith en este estilo pop bailable y debo decir que fue magnífico, de hecho, en esa época escuché mucha música de este estilo, fue como una ola de pop sintético que me encantó demasiado.
La voz de Normani es simplemente atrapante y envolvente, además que tiene un parecido muy interesante a Serena Williams y en el vídeo me encanta la forma en la que baila, ahora puedo analizar su manera de bailar de una forma diferente porque ahora soy bailarín y entiendo muchas cosas de ese mundo, así que me parece una obra maestra en todo sentido.
This was the first time I heard Sam Smith in this dance pop style and I must say it was magnificent, in fact, at that time I listened to a lot of music in this style, it was like a wave of synthetic pop that I loved too much.
Normani's voice is simply catching and enveloping, plus she has a very interesting resemblance to Serena Williams and in the video I love the way she dances, now I can analyze her way of dancing in a different way because now I am a dancer and I understand many things about that world, so it seems to me a masterpiece in every way.
Bonus Track.- Love Goes ft Labrinth
Siempre me ha parecido increíble cuando hay artistas que se separan mucho en conceptos pero que pueden convivir musicalmente para colaborar y crear obras magistrales que la música siempre agradecerá, este es un caso como ese.
Esta canción tiene algo que te mantiene atrapado escuchando demasiado, las voces de apoyo, la mezcla entre la voz de Sam Smith y Labrinth es una locura total, los melismas del estribillo son sublimes, son muy delicados e impresionantes, así que decidí traerla como bonus track por ello.
I've always found it amazing when there are artists that are far apart in concepts but can coexist musically to collaborate and create masterful works that music will always be grateful for, this is a case like that.
This song has something that keeps you stuck listening too much, the backing vocals, the mix between Sam Smith and Labrinth's voice is total madness, the melismas of the chorus are sublime, they are very delicate and impressive, so I decided to bring it as a bonus track because of that.
