Three Tune Tuesday Week #66 - Metal Tuesday [ENG/ESP]
I think it is difficult to describe what heavy metal has meant for millions of people around the world in the last five decades, since the release of the debut album of the British band Black Sabbath, considered the precursors of this genre that had its origin in the blues rock and hard rock of the late 60's, but then took on a life of its own to take over the musical preferences of the youth of those years.
However, if I had to use one word, just one word to describe metal, that would be "adrenaline", and this genre with all its variants and aspects is coincidentally that, pure adrenaline for the senses, not in vain, it is said that being "metalhead" is not just a musical taste, it is a true "lifestyle", and proof of this is the validity that has remained despite the time elapsed.
This is my first participation in Three Tune Tuesday, an initiative developed by @ablaze, and that arrives to its 66th week of success.
On this occasion, I wanted to debut with a selection of songs related to metal, among other reasons, because this genre still has a wide acceptance, to the point that it is said that their followers are the most faithful and loyal of the wide range of current music, and secondly, because they are the living reflection that "age is nothing more than a number" than what is really important "how we live the passage of time and how we face it", and in this, metal fans have a lot to teach us.
Creo que es difícil describir lo que ha significado el heavy metal para millones de personas alrededor del mundo en las últimas cinco décadas, desde la salida al mercado del álbum debut de la banda británica Black Sabbath, considerados los precursores de este género que tuvo su origen en el blues rock y hard rock de finales de la década de los 60, pero que luego cobró vida propia para apoderarse de las preferencias musicales de la juventud de aquellos años.
Sin embargo, si tuviera usar una palabra, tan solo una palabra para describir el metal, esa sería "adrenalina", y es que este género con todas sus variantes y vertientes es casualmente eso, adrenalina pura para los sentidos, no en vano, se dice que ser "metalero" no es sólo un gusto musical, es un verdadero "estilo de vida", y prueba de ello es la vigencia que ha mantenido a pesar del tiempo transcurrido.
Esta es mi primera participación en Three Tune Tuesday, una iniciativa desarrollada por @ablaze, y que arriva a su Semana 66 de éxitos.
En esta ocasión, quise debutar con una selección de temas vinculados con el metal, entre otras razones, porque este género aún cuenta con una amplia aceptación, a tal punto que se dice que sus seguidores son los más fieles y leales del amplio abanico musical actual, y en segundo lugar, porque son el vivo reflejo de que "la edad no es más que un número" que lo verdaderamente importante "de qué manera vivimos el paso del tiempo y como nos enfrentamos a él", y en esto, los seguidores del metal tienen mucho que enseñarnos.

Chop Suey! - System of a Down
This is an extraordinary song by the Armenian-American band System of a Down, released in 2001 as the first single from their second studio album, entitled Toxicity, with which the group achieved their first Grammy Award nomination in the category of "Best Metal Performance".
The initial title of the song was Suicide, being later changed to Chop Suey!. The members of the band stated that the name change was not motivated by any request made by the record company, however, they never gave further details about it.
In an interview granted by the guitarist, composer and second voice of the group, Daron Malakian, explained in relation to the lyrics: "The song is about how we are considered differently according to the way we die".
The song was ranked #66 on Rolling Stone magazine's "100 Greatest Songs of the 21st Century" list and received Gold Record certifications in the U.S. and Australia for its sales volumes.
Este es un extraordinario tema de la banda armenio-estadounidense, System of a Down, lanzado en 2001 como el primer sencillo de su segundo álbum de estudio, titulado Toxicity, con el que la agrupación alcanzó su primera nominación a los Premios Grammy, en la categoría de "Mejor interpretación de Metal".
El título inicial de la canción, era Suicide, siendo posteriormente cambiado por Chop Suey!. Los miembros de la banda afirmaron que el cambio de nombre no fue motivado por alguna solicitud realizada por la casa discográfica, sin embargo, nunca dieron mayores detalles al respecto.
En una entrevista que concediera el guitarrista, compositor y segunda voz de la agrupación, Daron Malakian, explicó en relación a la letra: "La canción trata de cómo se nos considera de manera diferente según la forma en cómo morimos."

Nothing Else Matters - Metallica
Nothing Else Matters is an iconic song by the American thrash metal band Metallica, included in the no less iconic "Black Album", their fifth studio album, which has no title on its cover.
The song reached number eleven on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart, as well as reaching the top-ten on numerous European charts, including the UK and Denmark.
The band's guitarist and lead vocalist, James Hetfield, composed this power ballad inspired by the last words of his grandfather, while on tour, as he was "depressed about being away from home".
The song has more than 40 versions, and was ranked seventh on the list of "The 1000 Greatest Songs of All Time" by Q Music magazine. It is one of the band's best known songs, as well as one of the essential songs in their live performances.
Nothing Else Matters es un tema emblemático de la agrupación estadounidense de thrash metal, Metallica, incluido en el no menos icónico, "Black Album", su quinto disco de estudio, el cual no tiene título en su portada.
La canción alcanzó la posición número once en la lista de éxitos de Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks, así como se ubicó en el top-ten de numerosas listas de éxitos europeas, incluyendo el Reino Unido y Dinamarca.
El guitarrista y vocalista principal de la agrupación, James Hetfield, compuso esta power ballad inspirado en las últimas palabras de su abuelo, durante una gira, mientras se encontraba "deprimido por estar lejos de casa".

In the End is a song by the American nu metal and alternative rock band, Linkin Park, included in their 2000 debut album, entitled Hybrid Theory.
All the members of the group participated in its composition, although the original idea came from vocalist Mike Shinoda, who presented it to his bandmates. However, the tragically deceased Chester Bennington, vocal leader and co-founder of the band, was not attracted to it at first, and even did not want it to be included in the album, although years later he recognized it as a "great song".
The lyrics are based on the failure of a person, and since its release, the song was very well received by the specialized critics and the audience, becoming a great commercial success, the biggest of the group so far, achieving the second position in the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States.
It also reached the top ten of the charts in Australia, New Zealand and some European countries. The subscription television network VH1, placed it in the position number 84 in its list of "The 100 Best Songs of the '00s", while, it reached the second position in the list of Loudwire of the "Greatest Hard Rock Songs of the XXI Century".

Todos los miembros de la agrupación participaron en su composición, aunque la idea original parte del vocalista Mike Shinoda, quien la presenta a sus compañeros. This is my selection of the week. Probably, not everyone will agree with the songs or bands selected, and think that others have as much or more merits to be included in this short list, and they will not be wrong, but it is a titanic task to try to condense more than half a century of history, with hundreds or thousands of performers who have ventured into this genre, to just 3 songs.

Probablemente, no todos estén de acuerdo con los temas o las bandas seleccionadas, y piensen que otras tienen tanto o mayores méritos para estar incluidas en este breve listado, y no les faltará la razón, pero es una tarea titánica tratar de condensar más de medio siglo de historia, con cientos o miles de intérpretes que han incursionado en este género, a tan solo 3 canciones.
