Cosi ho preso un aereo e sono volato in Texas, dove ho anche avuto il piacere di fare qualche concertino in giro.
I could not miss the chance to go to Texas and enjoy my granddaughter. She is simply perfect and cute. She does very silly faces all the time. The cutest little thing on the planet. I also did a few little concerts in Cibolo with my old friends.. and it was very, very fun.
Ma appena avevo un attimo mi dedicavo alla canzone, la volevo perfetta.. è invece doveva essere imperfetta. Mi sono reso conto che i suoni, le parole, le immagini a volte si incatenano creando conseguenze inaspettate ma piacevoli. Ho usato un tappeto di charango, garzie a Jean-Paul Ricquier sono riuscito ad orchestrare un girotondo per la mia nipotina. La drum-machine invece è opera di una band del texas attiva sul web,DJ-Moon-Rock. Cosi abbiamo interagito con bandlab.. e boom... ecco cosa nè uscito. , tutti i suoni sono stati poi sapientemente miscelati dal sottoscritto. Ho voluto lasciare un'atmosfera pura, leggermente live, con rumori di sottofondo. La canzone mi piace proprio cosi com'è, non cambierei una virgola. Ecco perchè la distribuisco via NFT, alla NFTshowroom.
Obviuosly my attention was all about her... and all over the song i wrote for her. It's a lullaby, a friend of mine, Jean-Paul Ricquier from France, wrote the charangos. The percussion and drum machine from a local band in San Antonio, DJ-MoonRock. The song is like a trip in an amusement park. Doesn't stop spinning for a second. These friends worked on the song from remote and send me the flat-tracks. I wisely mixed the tracks keeping a "rough" sound, with a kind of white-noise intentionally left. The essence of the song is made by how we use our sound, i like a "puristic" approach. Because of that i decide to distribute the song via NFT, on NFTshowroom. Here you will find the video.
Un girotondo di suoni, ho usato un accordatura aperta e come potete vedere dal video in alcuni punti ho usato due chitarre contemporaneamente.
A whirlwind of sounds, this is the song. I used an openD tuning, and in some parts i used two guitar played in the same time to obtain a kind of "stereo-effect" you can see it in the video.
Cos'altro, si ho visitato San Antonio e mi è piaciuta un sacco, ci ero già stato nel 96/97.. ma solo per una settimana, ero in giro con il New-York city Opera.
Quindi tornarci è stato davvero emozionante, poi c'è stata la bimba che mi ha preso nel cuore dal primo giorno. Sapete quegli strani scherzi del destino che ti fan sembrare che tutto sia normale....
Ma vi presento mia nipote, si chiama Daphne Amelia Custer, è nata a San Antonio ed è ovviamente Texana. Benvenuta raggio di Sole!
What else.. well I visited San Antonio. This city enchanted me since the first day I've been there, was in 97. I was on the road with the New-York City Opera. This little Venice in the middle of a desert.. just stunning. To be back in San Antonio was fantastic, I would have never guess to had the chance to get a coffee in Pearl with my granddaughter. For me has been like a gift from the universe. 😍
But let me introduce you to my "Yellow-Southern-Rose" granddaughter Daphne Amelia Custer. Welcome in to this world little pumpkin. 😍
