MUSIC FROM ARGENTINA [REVIEW] My favorite album // Música de Argentina, mi álbum favorito [English - Spanish]

[English] My favorite album:

Not too long ago a user of the platform (@phderoes) nominated me to a kind of challenge, or tag, I don't know very well how these things are usually called. The "challenge" consisted of me mentioning my favorite song and publishing it as a post, but I think that a song is very limited to demonstrate a musical taste and also I never know how to answer that question, so instead of limiting myself to answer for a musical unit I will proceed to change the slogan and I will mention my favorite album, I think this will also serve as a recommendation for the members of this platform, therefore I am not going to mention worldwide known albums like Wish you were here by Pink Floyd or Abbey Road by The Beatles, but I am going to mention music from Argentina, I would like to create in the future a section with this kind of posts, recommending albums, songs, extended plays and others composed, recorded, mixed and mastered in this country so that you, users who are (or not) from other countries can also enjoy a little of the culture here and maybe get a new musical taste. Anyway, I'll stop beating around the bush and tell you which is my favorite album and we'll talk a little bit about it and its composers.

The album in question is called "Pescado 2" because it is the second album of the band Pescado Rabioso, after "Desatormentándonos" (1972), Pescado 2 (or II) is published in 1973 with a mixture of impressive styles that were coming to Argentina by the hand of Spinetta and other artists, integrating genres such as Folk-Rock, Blues-Rock, Psychedelic Rock, Progressive Rock, Blues and others.
Pescado Rabioso was a band that mutated formations, for this album the line-up was as follows:
Luis Alberto Spinetta on guitar and vocals.
David Lebón on bass
Carlos Cutaia on keyboards
Black Amaya on drums
El Bocón Frascino on bass was also part of the line-up in 1972 when Desatormentándonos was released.
Spinetta is the composer of most of the songs on this album, besides being a great musician, composer and singer he was also a great poet, he was a very cultured person, he read a lot and that showed in his work and in his way of expressing himself, in several songs of this album in particular he was inspired by the French poet Arthur Rimbaund, in another album that is under the name of Pescado Rabioso he was also inspired by another French poet, Antonin Artaud. Spinetta's work is inspired from Carlos Castaneda to Antonin Artaud, in his work you can see reflected the literary journey he made from his youth until his death, but that is a topic for another post.
Going back to Pescado 2, the tracklist of this album is as follows:

My favorite song of this album is "Poseído del alba", I find it a beautiful lyric accompanied by a gloomy music if you will.

"The dawn will surprise me with the view submerged in the sea, Where do the colors go? To the closed."

This first verse talks about watching the sunrise by the sea, it is said that Luis Alberto Spinetta composed the lyrics of this song when he was in Spain, on the beach after a party watching the sunrise, it simply seems to me a very poetic way to describe his daily life, to describe how he is alone on the beach, hungry, sleepy and without friends to accompany him.

This album simply seems to me a genius of Argentine rock and Spinetta, I think it is one of his best albums, but as I said almost at the beginning of the post, I would like to create a section on music from Argentina, not only include rock, but also native rhythms and cirollos, artists of all musical styles, if I see that this publication is supported I will upload more content of this type.
Anyway, I leave you the link to the album "Pescado 2" so you can enjoy it.
