El sistema, en primer lugar, puede entenderse como una serie de procesos que, ligados entre sí, pueden formar un patrón de comportamiento único. ¡Atención! Es solo mi percepción: lo que a priori se me viene a la mente sin recurrir al patrón técnico y conceptual. A nivel de la sociedad sería, por ejemplo, una regulación sobre cómo comportarnos y cómo no. Quizás esté asociando elementos sin conexión, pero véalo de esta forma: es una mera ejemplificación a la imposición de conductas “aceptables” o “ideales” que parten desde el eje superficial.
Sí, en su propia forma de ser Bob Marley reconocía los patrones sociales que se imponían por encima de la libertad genuina. Yo los he clasificado en la letra de algunas canciones que me encantan, y que bajo el poder de la música, enseñan a vivir de verdad… ¿Te animarías a descubrir cuáles son?

OneRepublic – Couting Stars
No te alarmes; esa parte de la canción es más literal. ¿Prefieres contar estrellas o dinero? Si dices estrellas, lo más probable es que te asemejen con la locura. Entonces eso, bajo las líneas de esta pieza musical, puede entenderse como algo malo que en realidad es bueno. El pensamiento materialista pasa a un segundo plano para dar protagonismo a algo más puro, sincero y bonito: una simple sensación ligada a felicidad. Es una metáfora que contradice lo que el mundo ve bien y ve mal, o al menos la mayoría.
Cuando te desprendes de los vicios logras atesorar la vida de una manera más tangible. Parece que nadie puede ser feliz si, por ejemplo, no puede conducir un automóvil de último modelo. Bonito es que más allá del deseo material brille la satisfacción con lo poco que tengamos, y no por eso estoy diciendo que debes ser conformista. Si cantas y lo haces por amor a tu gusto y no por el dinero o la fama que puedes ganar, verás que la sensación es mucho más gratificante. Esa es otra manera de contar estrellas y romper los paradigmas: demostrando que aquello que se piensa es bueno, no es más que un profundo precipicio.

That is another way of counting stars and breaking paradigms: demonstrating that what is thought to be good is nothing more than a deep precipice.
Twenty One Pilots – Ride
Decir las cosas que parecen ser sencillas aunque no lo son… ¿Cuáles? En “Ride” de Twenty One Pilots están muy presentes. Lo que de forma habitual escuchamos siempre vendrá con vendajes de “confía en mí” o “Moriría por ti” o “Nunca te traicionaría…” ¡Tapa tus oídos! Eso es lo que cualquier charlatán dice en vez de demostrar. Esta canción es un cuestionamiento profundo, incluso en la lírica se puede percibir esa llamada de “auxilio” en una mente que está comenzando a ver el mundo tal cual como es: una realidad de palabras que vuelan junto al viento.
Ideé esa frase mientras oía Ride y hasta ahora la llevo en el corazón. Actuar con hechos y no con palabras se ha convertido, además, en esa esperanza irresistible. No hagas que parezca fácil: haz que parezca real.

Se nos ha dicho tantas veces que disfrutemos de la vida pero… ¿Cómo hacerlo? Te invito a pensar en todas las cosas que te hacen feliz sin que te causen dolor… ¿has hallado algo? Entonces no hay mucho que explicar. “Waves” es una canción dedicada al tiempo que se invierte de forma errónea en luchar contra esa marea que tal vez no quiere destruirnos después de todo. Dentro de la lírica hay dos historias, ambas sometidas a la búsqueda de la “felicidad” pero que en el proceso conllevan a una pérdida irreparable. Más que dejar la reflexión de que disfrutes cada momento de tu vida, se trata de que lo hagas sin que termines destruyéndote.
Así como la arena en la orilla de la playa; las olas la mojan y la sacuden, pero ella siempre permanece.

Ser maduros también implica ir contra el sistema, y a veces hay que hacernos a un lado, aun cuando nos toque alejarnos de lo que amamos con tanto corazón. Creo que aunque al principio duela, luego el tiempo nos ayudará a entender que fue la mejor decisión. ¿Por qué intentar que funcione cuando lo hemos hecho sin ningún resultado? Esto va más allá de “no rendirnos” pues algunas cosas escapan de nuestras manos: no podemos hacer que, por ejemplo, alguien nos ame aunque sintamos una profunda atracción. También aplica a muchos ámbitos de la vida: hay que dejar ir para sanar, aun cuando el mundo pueda mostrarte lo contrario.
Pero en “Happier” hay un simbolismo más profundo. No solo se trata de dejar ir algo para sanar, sino para que esa otra persona pueda ser feliz. Es una reciprocidad aunque las partes tomen caminos diferentes. Eso, amigos míos, es un valor que definitivamente te hace vencer el indiferente sistema en su totalidad.

Being mature also implies going against the system, and sometimes we have to step aside, even when we have to walk away from what we love with so much heart. I think that although it hurts at first, later time will help us understand that it was the best decision. Why try to make it work when we have done it to no avail? This goes beyond "not giving up" because some things are out of our hands: we cannot make someone love us, for example, even though we feel a deep attraction. It also applies to many areas of life: you have to let go to heal, even when the world may show you otherwise.
But in "Happier" there is a deeper symbolism. It's not just about letting go of something to heal, but so that that other person can be happy. It is reciprocity even though the parties take different paths. That, my friends, is a value that definitely makes you beat the indifferent system in its entirety.

Amigo @soldierofdreams, gracias por compartirnos esos temas, sin duda alguna no lo había escuchado nunca, pero el que nos lo presentara fue una excelente alternativa para ilustrarnos una buena estrategia de como otros han podido salir u oponerse al sistema en el que vivimos.
La ultima canción me gusto mucho tanto su drama como la letra que la compone, muchas veces nos aferramos a algo para poder hacer caso omiso a las adversidades que se nos presentan.
