Hello to all the hive community, I hope you are very well at home. Today I want to share with you part of the history that encompasses one of the most successful groups in our country and also throughout Latin America, focusing only on the female singers who belonged and made musical life in the group to give my personal perception as a musician.
Se trata nada mas y nada menos que de la increíble orquesta "Los Melódicos" nacida por supuesto en nuestra tierra venezolana, a quien se le atribuyen innumerables exitos musicales y además, muchos recuerdos agradables en la vida de todos sus fanaticos. Su creador el maestro Renato Capriles oriundo de Caracas llevaba consigo la pasión por la musica por lo que decidió fundar dicha orquesta, además pensó en un formato musical donde eran participes instrumentos como trompetas, trombones, teclado, saxofones, percusión, bajo, un director y por supuesto cantantes mujeres y hombres.
This is nothing more and nothing less than the incredible orchestra "Los Melodicos" born of course in our Venezuelan land, to whom are attributed countless musical successes and also many pleasant memories in the lives of all his fans. Its creator, maestro Renato Capriles, a native of Caracas, had a passion for music, so he decided to found the orchestra. He also thought of a musical format where instruments such as trumpets, trombones, keyboards, saxophones, percussion, bass, a conductor and of course male and female singers participated.
Cabe destacar que los músicos que hacian vida en esta agrupación bailable eran de gran trayectoria y además de gran madera musical, por lo que no cualquiera podía incursionar en ella. Como dije anteriormente solo me enfocaré en hablarles de las cantantes femeninas que considero han sido las mas recordadas por todo el público, sin embargo, cabe acotar que hay una gran lista de músicos ejecutantes y cantantes en general que pasaron y dejaron en alto dicha agrupación.
It should be noted that the musicians who made life in this dance group were of great trajectory and also of great musical wood, so not just anyone could dabble in it. As I said before, I will only focus on talking about the female singers that I consider to have been the most remembered by the public, however, it should be noted that there is a long list of musicians and singers in general who passed and left this group high.
Entre las cantantes femeninas que hablaremos hoy tenemos a Verónica Rey, Liz y Diveana, quienes personalmente siempre me han cautivado a nivel vocal y a nivel de escenario. Como cantante de musica bailable siempre debo escuchar diversas agrupaciones como referencia y en diversas ocasiones me ha tocado escuchar específicamente a Los Melódicos, por tanto he tenido la oportunidad de apreciar muchas veces a estas grandes cantantes que evidencian notoriamente un gran crecimiento durante su estadía en la agrupación.
Among the female singers we will talk about today we have Veronica Rey, Liz and Diveana, who personally have always captivated me vocally and on stage. As a singer of dance music I always have to listen to various groups as a reference and on several occasions I have had the opportunity to listen specifically to Los Melodicos, so I have had the opportunity to appreciate many times these great singers who clearly show a great growth during their stay in the group.
En primer lugar "Verónica rey" se incorporó a la orquesta a mediados de 1974 incursionando como cantante principal femenina, en su estadía en la agrupación siento que se destacó principalmente por un estilo vocal bastante característico, por su carisma y por su gran dominio de escenario. Una experiencia personal que tuve fue que logre conocer a Verónica Rey hace mas o menos 8 años en un concierto que hubo aqui en la ciudad de San Cristóbal específicamente en el Pabellón Colombia. Por fortuna la agrupación que se encargo de acompañar a Verónica fue la Banda Municipal de San Cristóbal, agrupación donde mi mama es integrante activa desde hace muchos años e inclusive en la actualidad.
First of all, Veronica Rey joined the orchestra in mid-1974 as the main female singer. During her stay in the group, I feel that she stood out mainly for her very characteristic vocal style, her charisma and her great command of the stage. A personal experience I had was that I got to know Veronica Rey about 8 years ago in a concert that took place here in the city of San Cristobal specifically in the Pabellon Colombia. Fortunately the group that was in charge of accompanying Veronica was the Municipal Band of San Cristobal, a group where my mother has been an active member for many years and even today.
Para este concierto se preparo un repertorio totalmente bailable en donde además de Verónica participaron otros cantantes de renombre nacional, entre estos, Perucho Navarro, Nelson Hernández y Memo Morales quienes tambien fueron acompañados por la banda. Entre las canciones mas conocidas interpretadas por Verónica Rey tenemos: 'El ascensor', 'Maria de la o', 'Cumbia del caribe', 'Tu tu tu', 'Yo no creo en los hombres', 'Toma y toma', 'Te soñe', entre otras logrando cautivar al público bailarín con gran calidad musical.
For this concert a totally danceable repertoire was prepared in which besides Veronica, other nationally renowned singers participated, among them, Perucho Navarro, Nelson Hernández and Memo Morales who were also accompanied by the band. Among the best known songs performed by Verónica Rey we have: El ascensor, Maria de la O, Cumbia del caribe, Tu tu tu, Yo no creo en los hombres, Toma y toma, Te soñe, among others, captivating the dancing public with great musical quality.
In second place we have "Liz" who managed to be part of this group since she was very young playing the role of female lead singer, I feel that she managed to stand out thanks to her great talent and youth, remember that most of the musicians of this famous orchestra were mostly people with trajectory therefore, the arrival of a fresh and beautiful young woman caused immediately a great receptivity from the public. In addition to this, Liz always had a great voice, good presence, great personality, charisma and excellent stage presence despite her young age.
Entre las canciones mas conocidas interpretadas por Liz tenemos: 'Zumbalo', 'Diavolo', 'Mi corazon', 'La sabrosita', 'Ay amor', 'Amanecer' entre otras, posicionándose entre los temas mas escuchados a nivel nacional e internacional en el ámbito bailable. Posteriormente luego de salir de la orquesta se independizó musicalmente y saco varios temas del genero merengue que de inmediato gusto al público musical, además de colaborar con distintos artistas del genero bailable, tales como Eddy Herrera.
Among the best known songs performed by Liz we have: Zumbalo, Diavolo, Mi corazon, La sabrosita, Ay amor, Amanecer among others, positioning them among the most listened to nationally and internationally in the dance area. Later, after leaving the orchestra he became musically independent and released several songs of the merengue genre that immediately pleased the musical public, in addition to collaborating with various artists of the danceable genre, such as Eddy Herrera.
Lastly, we have Diveana who was part of the orchestra as a female lead singer since 1989. Like Liz, she made her debut as a singer at a very young age and stood out for her great energy on stage, charisma and of course her incredible voice. Personally I feel that Diveana has been one of the most prepared singers that Los Melodicos had, since in her different presentations you can see her great comfort when singing, showing that she has an excellent vocal technique. Currently she continues to make music with her band performing songs of great musical boom that catapulted her as one of the best artists in her time with this group, among these: Tus ojos, Por ti amor, Sola, Lo que yo se, Lo que siento contigo, Papachongo, Tabu, Me falta todo, Noches de media luna among others, which continue to delight and make the Latin American public dance.
Finally I was proud that our country Venezuela has so much musical potential to export, since during the great boom of the Melodicos many musical hits were born that exalted Venezuela artistically. Incredibly, despite the passing of the years, this music that Maestro Renato left us has not gone out of fashion and continues to be listened to by many people in every celebration, in every home and at any time of the year.
