Hello to all the hive community, I hope you are feeling great at home. Today I want to share with you the experience of my first rehearsal of 2021! It is worth mentioning that during the whole 2020 due to the confinement issue I didn't have a single concert or "touch" with musical groups, therefore, no rehearsal of any kind.
A pesar de esto estuve muy tranquila en casa cuidándome ya que verdaderamente todo el tema del virus siempre me ha preocupado muchísimo, por este motivo decidí aprovechar todo ese tiempo en enfocarme y practicar otros aspectos musicales que me hacía falta mejorar.
Despite this, I was very quiet at home taking care of myself because the whole virus issue has always worried me a lot, for this reason I decided to use all that time to focus and practice other musical aspects that I needed to improve.
En el ámbito musical la pandemia paralizó no solamente las clases que se daban en las diversas instituciones musicales que existen en el país sino también, todos los eventos, reuniones, celebraciones dónde ocasionalmente los músicos hacen presencia con sus agrupaciones para amenizar. Por este motivo, muchos colegas se han visto cortos de dinero ya que esos pequeños o grandes eventos son una entrada adicional para el sustento personal o familiar.
In the musical field, the pandemic paralyzed not only the classes given in the various musical institutions that exist in the country, but also all the events, meetings, celebrations where occasionally musicians are present with their groups to entertain. For this reason, many colleagues have been short of money since these small or large events are an additional income for personal or family support.
Hace unos días me contacto una compañera musical que tiene un emprendimiento de "eventos" enfocado mayormente a la parte musical y me invitó a ser parte de su 5to aniversario. Cabe destacar que en años anteriores he sido parte de este evento ya que siempre he sido parte de su grupo fijo de músicos para los diversos conciertos, por esto, me indico rápidamente que en esta oportunidad se hará el show pero con la diferencia que será un concierto únicamente virtual.
A few days ago I was contacted by a musical colleague who has an "events" venture focused mainly on the musical part and invited me to be part of its 5th anniversary. It should be noted that in previous years I have been part of this event as I have always been part of his fixed group of musicians for various concerts, therefore, I quickly indicated that this time the show will be done but with the difference that it will be a virtual concert only.
Al momento me invadió el nerviosismo por el tema del virus pero a su vez las ganas de hacer música nuevamente después de casi un año, por tanto luego de preguntarle cómo se iba a realizar la grabación y especialmente como sería el tema de la bioseguridad acepte participar. El ensayo tuvo lugar el día de ayer sábado 23 de enero y se realizó en una sala de ensayo de la ciudad San Cristóbal, todos los músicos asistieron con su respectivo tapabocas, gel Anti bacterial, alcohol, agua para hidratarse y al culminar se partió una torta que obsequio uno de los patrocinantes del concierto.
At the time I was overcome with nervousness because of the virus but at the same time the desire to make music again after almost a year, so after asking him how the recording was going to be done and especially how would be the issue of biosafety I agreed to participate. The rehearsal took place yesterday Saturday January 23 and was held in a rehearsal room in the city of San Cristobal, all the musicians attended with their respective masks, Anti bacterial gel, alcohol, water for hydration and at the end of the rehearsal a cake was given as a gift from one of the sponsors of the concert.
Durante el ensayo todos los músicos permanecieron con sus tapabocas excepto nosotros los cantantes que en varias ocasiones debíamos cantar, sin embargo en los momentos de receso personalmente me colocaba el tapaboca y desinfectaba mis manos con alcohol. Algo importante es que este concierto está dirigido a todas aquellas personas aficionadas de la gran "Feria Internacional de San Sebastián", que durante este mes de enero extrañan los diversos eventos que anteriormente se han llevado a cabo en la parte alta de la ciudad en celebración de las ferias. Sin embargo, este año por motivo de seguridad todos los eventos que por tradición se realizan quedaron cancelaron, dando como resultado la eliminación total de las ferias.
During the rehearsal all the musicians remained with their masks on, except for us singers who had to sing on several occasions, but during the breaks I personally put on my mask and disinfected my hands with alcohol. Something important is that this concert is aimed at all those fans of the great "Feria Internacional de San Sebastián", who during this month of January miss the various events that have previously been held in the upper part of the city in celebration of the fairs. However, this year for security reasons all the events that traditionally took place were cancelled, resulting in the total elimination of the fairs.
Otro dato interesante acerca de este gran concierto es que además de nuestra agrupación estarán en tarima ocho agrupaciones más con estilos diferentes, por tanto se llevará a cabo un protocolo de seguridad bastante estricto pero a su vez altamente profesional en el ámbito de la producción audiovisual. En mi caso estaremos interpretando cinco temas del género bailable y seremos los primeros en abrir el show, por este motivo siento mucha emoción ya que para todos será algo nuevo.
Another interesting fact about this great concert is that in addition to our group will be on stage eight more groups with different styles, therefore there will be a fairly strict security protocol but in turn highly professional in the field of audiovisual production. In my case we will be performing five songs of the dance genre and we will be the first to open the show, for this reason I feel very excited because it will be something new for everyone.
En fin, estoy feliz de haber empezado haciendo música este 2021 sin embargo, siempre con mucha precaución y cuidado para cuidar de mi y de mi familia. Por ser un evento virtual las personas podrán ver el concierto en esta ocasión totalmente gratis, así que si alguno quiere bailar un rato con nosotros y especialmente con mi presentación el acceso se compartirá el día del concierto "31 de enero" a todos aquellos que lo deseen.
Anyway, I am happy to have started making music this 2021, however, always with a lot of caution and care to take care of myself and my family. Being a virtual event people will be able to see the concert this time totally free, so if anyone wants to dance for a while with us and especially with my presentation the access will be shared the day of the concert "January 31" to all those who want it.
