RE: The Energy of Things: Minimalism to Turn Down the Cacophony

I almost always wear plain colours. T shirts too

This is so me. I just feel upset every Christmas when my aunt gives me a t-shirt as gift--every year! I don't want to be rude and tell she doesn't need to. I have like 3-4 t-shirts that I wear all the time until they turn into garbage. I then I see young people, my age, exchanging a fuck ton of time so they cn afford to buy expensive clothes.

Oh I feel so much more NORMAL reading this LOL. I hate advertising tshirts, brand names and PATTERNS. Shudder. They make me feel edgy when I wear them, like I've had too much coffee!!

Bless your aunt who hasn't ever stopped to really SEE what your preferences are - and it's fine to regift stuff or donate it. I buy mostly second-hand clothes now - there's an amazing business here in Thailand that buys container loads of second hand clothes from the US and Japan - super high quality, trendy, good sizing for my 6 foot plus self LOL. And yes, I'm gob-smacked that someone threw it out.

Let there be more calming neutrals and classic plain colours in our orbit!
