I love visiting public and private gardens.They are peaceful places that have often required the concerted efforts of many volunteers and enthusiasts over many years and even decades to bring to life and maintain.They create unique oasis of calm and clean air often right in the middle of cities.
Here in Auckland New Zealand we are graced with many gardens.It is a Covid free Autumn and the leaves are changing.
Let's take a walk down a garden path...
I'm no botanist or even gardener but as a photographer these places inspire me with the art of nature.
Here in Auckland Eden gardens are in what was once a disused quarry.It is steep in places and covers a few hectares with many interconnected walkways,grottos,quiet groves and views of the harbour and city high on the side of Mount Eden.
There are places for quiet contemplation...
It was established in the 1970's by a handful of keen volunteers with a vision to establish a sanctuary for rare plants and a place everyone could visit.
Some of the collections are amazing-like the Bromeliads.I love Bromeliads!
There are glass houses where you can see plant species being propagated - and fed!
Sometimes even accidental mistakes can convey some of the feel of a place...
There are quiet streams and pools..
I recommend you refresh yourself with Nature, it's beauty, and your place in it by visiting a garden-you will come out a more peaceful and grateful human than when you walked in!

I want to visit New Zealand so bad! It's in my top three places! These are great pictures and I, too, enjoy visiting some of these gardens. They are beautiful places of peace and relaxation as you have mentioned. Flowers aren't just for women, 😉. Great work and explanations!

Rain and grey sky are matural diffusers they bring out rich deeper colour and less bright white highlights
