The good thing about carrying round a smartphone is that if something just jumps out in front of you you have a chance to catch it before the instant passes. Some shots especially of nature cannot be set up in advance, they just happen and often very quickly
These are some shots of creatures that I found or they found me😄
I couldn't believe the busy bee would stop long enough for a shot but obviously that flower was special to it.
The actual shot
Another of a bee with head down and bum up-lovin it's work
The monarch butterfly comes from this caterpillar in an amazing transformationc from caterpillar to chrysalis to butterfly
A couple of shots of a monarch butterfly
One day this dragonfly just decided to land right next to me and stayed put long enough to shoot
This is a kingfisher usually found in New Zealand near the ocean looking for small fish and insects
The Tui is a New Zealand native bird known for it's plumage and call, and is sitting on a native flax whose nectar it loves
And finally I took this shot without seeing the tiny ant running on superthin filaments across this flower until I enlarged it-what a mighty ant!
