On a beautiful afternoon last weekend we went for a walk in Savoie near St Jean de Chevelu, a place where the relief is hilly and green, typically the kind of landscape that we would like to have around us for our next life outside Annecy😉

Real estate in Annecy is unaffordable and we would like to buy a small house to live in
and leave the apartment we rent in town which will soon be demolished to make way for these hideous modern constructions which are popping up all over my town.
... so we canvass the places that we like and that makes us goals for walks in the region,
we look very little at the cities, because we want to settle in the countryside
Of course, it is important to see what are the surrounding economic activities because the idea is not to spend several hours driving to work or to get food, so we do not want to be isolated, but want to move away from the surrounding noise of city life.
The idea is to feel good in the place we choose
there is nothing more important than that, then we will have to attract to us the old house that corresponds to us 😉
It takes a lot of trust in life and in our creative power to do this, I admit it 😊
Walks in the countryside are the most relaxing that are ... we did picnic on the edge of this tiny wood, enjoying the surrounding hilly view and the calm interspersed with the sounds of nature.
We even saw two deer crossing the neighboring field,
it was a magical and wonderful moment, as an additional gift on our beautiful day ❤️

I don't know if this is a feeling that came with my age (a litle bit over 50 😁) but I aspire to peace and tranquility, and even if I know that these are not related to the outside but to the inside of oneself, I want to make my inner peace flourish with an external calm environment...😉

That's one thing that we don't get to find here where we live. Picnic areas. Or places like these where we can relax, enjoy fresh air and have lunch. Nice place.

Our place is a coastal city so the nearest place one can enjoy nature is in the beach. Highland nature is a bit difficult to get to plus there is always a risk of unlawful groups being around the area. So we confine our nature trips to the beaches which are not yet easily accessible because of the pandemic. I marvel at your photos and how you can all feel safe even in secluded and almost deserted areas to have a picnic with the family.
Oooh I have never thought of the fact I could be unsecure in that kind of places...! This is also our luck to be relatively secure everywhere in my country, I'm sorry you have to think to such unpleasant things before going somewhere ! 😦
Of course, bad things can happen also here, but it is not something we have to care about, and I really feel secure in the mountains and countryside, but I'm sure if I would watch TV and shows that only tells about crimes or children kidnapping or who-knows-what-could happen bad, I would feel less safe but that would be just ridiculous as I trust my inner compass to feel whenever I have to leave a place...

That's okay. It's a way of life we have gotten used to already. We are still considered a third world country and majority of the people still earn minim wages or below. Add to that the prevalence of drugs which before was getting out of control. It was only when the current president took over that he took a hard line against drug that somehow the situation got in control. Sorry to be saying these things here. It's not the right venue but I was just explaining. Anyway, thanks for being patient.
