Absorbing Natures Rhythm by the Misty Waters Edge

IMG_3662x111.jpg

What A Beautiful Morning It Was ..

While I sat in silence by the misty water's edge, I could feel natures captivating and curious rhythm, and I soon was devoured by it's hypnotic, creative pulse.

The dew was turned into frost overnight and their was a crispness to the air. The sounds of water birds and those perched in the trees, could be heard echoing along the surface of the water. The morning noises were only absorbed slightly by the gentle amber mist rising off the warm lake waters.

I collected a cup of coffee and headed back to the lake ..

This morning, in order to try to get back that feeling of solitude and calm, I took a walk down to the waters edge. I was able to quickly find that feeling once more, and it was just what I needed after a long week of 'Day In, Day Out' mentality. I tried to move softly along the banks of the calm waters, attempting not to disturb nature at it's most vulnerable.

I captured about 145 early morning photos, but only want to share one of them with you today. This is the one that best describes the emotions of being in this natural space, and works best at delivering a visual representation of it all.

The sun just starting to peak up over the horizon, warming the chilled surfaces and sparking a little life into just about everything. Some of the trees have let go of their leaves, creating a winter like landscape appeal. You can also see a distinct thin line of mist that has begun it's dissipation into the cold airs hovering just above the water's surface. It really made for a wonderful shot.

I also saw a few fish jump, and will try to load a video at some point, so that you can get a real feel for the type of nature that encompasses this area.

In Black and White ..I think this photo also looks neat stripped down to only black and white. That white contrasting mist line seems to be the element that makes the piece, and breathes that tiny bit of life into it.

That is a fabulous shot, I love the color one. I can feel the nature, the peace the solitude it represents. I would much more have woken up to that than the reality of our morning at minus 14 F and a minus teens week in store for us. With the mist on the water I would guess that you too will be seeing some much colder weather in a day or two.

Thank You! 😁

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrr! TOO COLD!
Lol.. I hope we don't get those kind of temp this year. We are heading toward a colder spell. Two cold fronts moved through and temps should be going below freezing again, but only to 30 or 31. Not -14.

This is kind of normal for us, a mid November cold snap, then a warm up, and snow for thanksgiving. Last year was great temperature wise, no real below zero days, this year looks like it will be normal, so I really am not looking forward to February.

I'm looking forward to the progression of snowfall you will surely be posting about. 😁

So far we have had just a couple of minor snows, but enough to insulate the ground from the deep freeze we have been having.

Walks by the lake are always soothing especially with a cup of coffee in hand.

I have to agree 100%. I just felt real good to be in that place. And the coffee was such an added bonus for sure 😁
