Product Photography (work in progress and how to)

Whit a bit of to much work i did not organize any photography shooting for a while now (you could see me procrastinating few days ago with publishing 3 posts in a day, i do that when i have a lot of things to do, don't you?). Today we finished fourth quarter taxes and some stupid reports and i had a photography crises. And it was 1AM and i hardly had a half of the battery charged. So i improvised.

Product Photography - How To

It is not the best product photography that you ever seen, but it is an work in progress and it was done in 30 minutes.

So how was it done? On the photo you can see everything needed for this:

  • A lap top (or a monitor of any kind),
  • some interesting background (i used few youtube videos)
  • glass (i used one from a photo frame)
  • the light was a flashlight
  • white plastic bag to defuse the light
  • product
  • and something to take photos with

I was first thinking of making a video, but the old screen was flickering to the point of shutter speed of 1/15, so no.

Photos taken with Canon r6 and 35mm lens. I think it could be done with a phone, i should probably do a test with a cheap phone.

That is awesome. I was wondering where you would get a cool background like that. Very creative.

Thanks. the only problem is how big is your screen :)

I had never before thought of using a laptop/monitor as a background. What a great idea! I'm now thinking of things to photograph with that idea!

the only problem is size of the object or size of the monitor :D and i am not sure how would it look if it was in focus (but the lap top i used is a bit old)

Congratulations!
