In this post I want to continue my Winter in Scotland series by sharing some shots I took yesterday while out for a stroll down by the river Eden which is one of the more photogenic spots near the area I live in.
While walking along the river I noticed the low hanging branches of trees along the river bank had Icicles hanging from them where the spray from the river has gathered and frozen....
I had to cross a rickety old bridge that looked like it would give way as soon as I stepped on it to get into the right position to take advantage of this unique photographic opportunity....
Once I got over the bridge I managed to get some decent shots....
Walking further down the river I found this strange looking hand cranked contraption which looks like it hasn't been used in quite some time...
This area had more Icicles from the low hang branches,offering more wintery photo opportunities...
