The hiking out at Barrier Lake, Kananaskis country, Alberta was really fantastic. Only, let's say negative point of the experience was the presence of power lines going smack dab through the middle. Nonetheless, it allowed me to take a few abstract unusual photos. I have also included the black & whites of each photo. Colour or black & white, which do you prefer?

LOve the color ones, if I had a Cr 450 I could jump over those power lines.

Without a doubt!

Yea, just like that.

Oh! What a spoiler! I am all for progress, but, taking away the view! But, it does make for interesting photos, and I guess there is that.

I actually prefer the black and white on this one, particularly the one with all the wires and poles. You sure no how to make lemonade out of lemons.

I try and see the beauty in everything.

That is one way Photoshop is pretty handy. In literally as fast as you can mouse over the wire using the Healing tool, it vanishes. I am sure there are better ways but for 5 seconds, its not a bad job.

Love that tool, but usually I never use it.

Amazing place.

Amazing is what it was!
