A Misty Walk at Clumber Park, Nottinghamshire

in Photography Loverslast year (edited)

Apparently, the weather has been quite wet while I've been away, but undeterred we made a misty return to Clumber Park in Nottinghamshire today. It is lovely in all the seasons but always good to see a bit of mist on the lake.

The young cygnet's plumage is turning white. I expect by March they will be fully white and learning to fly. The lake attracts lots of different birds, such as ducks, Canada Geese, swans, coots, gulls, Egyptian Geese to name a few.

There's plenty of signposted walks but you can also go off the beaten track on your own.

There's still some nice autumnal colours about.

The walk around the lake is longish but it has some great views from both sides. It was nice and flat and not too muddy. I had my walking boots on, but trainers would have been ok as well.

We walked over the bridge that has now been restored after someone deliberately drove into it. It was a very expensive repair job.

If you visit in other seasons the place is great for picnics and BBQs but still just as good in winter.

Mist made the scenery look mysterious ) I love autumn fog... We had a heavy fog yesterday and today. Romantic mood ... )) Lovely pictures!

Thank you @zirochka. I love the mist as well. Especially, in the forest. Creepy!

Yeah, love creepy things as well :D

Thank you.

The colors are so bright. I think the most interesting part is that someone actually ran into the bridge.

Were they high or summat ? 🤔

I don’t know what was behind it all. Just randomly rammed the bridge and set fire to the car and ran off.

Now that is a blockbuster headline

You got some really great shots here!

Lovely photos taken to appreciate the beauty part of nature.
