Dipper|Bird on the River

We had another walk to Miller’s Dale to try and get a few more photos of the dipper on the River Wye.

Following the riverside footpath, and walking under the large and imposing viaduct, it made you feel like a little blot on the landscape.

Someone's pooch was having a great time in the river.

One wet pooch emerged from the water, complete with ball.

As we strolled along the river, a dipper finally appeared, perched on a stone and then onto a tree trunk in the water.

It was really enjoyable sitting there just watching the dipper bobbing up and down, and diving under the water. They are lovely little birds.

We just had time to take a few photos before it flew off. At least it wasn't a wasted journey.

We decided to return under the viaduct and back to the car park. Mission accomplished.

On the way back, we stopped to admire the lovely stone cottages at the end of Miller's Dale.
