Hello Hive!
Today I come with a photo set that I really like, which was slightly inspired by a character from literature.

Hoy vengo con un set de fotos que me gusta mucho, el cual fue levemente inspirado por un personaje de la literatura.
Alexia, the model for this set, wrote to me saying she needed to take some photos depicting Penelope, the queen of Ithaca in The Odyssey, as part of an assignment.
Alexia, la modelo de este set, me escribió diciendo que necesitaba hacer unas fotos que representaran a Penélope, la reina de Ítaca en La Odisea, como parte de una tarea.
Penelope was the wife of Odysseus, who left for the Trojan War and for whom she patiently awaited his return, not knowing that her wait would extend for 20 years.
Penélope era la esposa de Odiseo, que partió a la guerra de Troya y por quien ella esperó pacientemente su regreso, sin saber que su espera se extendería por 20 años.
During her long wait, Penelope was visited by many suitors to her palace, but she locked herself in her chambers, not wanting to reciprocate to any of them. She is known as a symbol of fidelity.
Durante su larga espera, Penélope recibió la visita de muchos pretendientes a su palacio, pero ella se encerraba en sus aposentos al no querer corresponderle a ninguno. Es conocida como un símbolo de fidelidad.
I wanted to portray expressions of waiting and determination because that's what the character made me feel, and I feel that Alexia managed to convey that in the photos.
Quise retratar expresiones de espera y determinación porque es lo que el personaje me hacía sentir, y siento que Alexia logró transmitir eso en las fotos.
We had almost no time to plan the photoshoot, due to the assignment deadline. Luckily for both of us, Mariana, another of my friends, had made that dress as part of a college assignment, so I ran to her for help and she gladly accepted.
No tuvimos casi tiempo para planificar la sesión, debido a la fecha de entrega de la tarea. Por suerte para ambos, Mariana, otra de mis amigas, había realizado ese vestido como parte de un trabajo universitario, así que fui corriendo por su ayuda y aceptó gustosamente.
The location of the photos was the most difficult part. We had planned to do them in a nearby museum, since its appearance combined perfectly with the theme of the photos, but due to the pandemic we could not access.
We found that garden about 10 minutes away from the museum and managed to do the photoshoot there. The best thing was that next to the garden there was a fountain, where we took my favorite photos of the set.
El lugar de las fotos fue lo más difícil. Teníamos pensado hacerlas en un museo cercano, ya que su aspecto combinaba perfectamente con el tema de las fotos, pero debido a la pandemia no pudimos acceder.
Conseguimos ese jardín a unos 10 minutos del museo y logramos hacer la sesión allí. Lo mejor fue que al lado del jardín estaba una fuente, donde sacamos mis fotos favoritas del set.
