Four days ago I posted about an exhibition I visited this week and liked a lot. In my previous post post I said I'd go back to ask if the paintings were on sale but life got in my way and had to do other things.

So today I'd like to show you the rest of the photos I took at this wonderful exhibition ans while doing that, have another look at those beautiful paintings I missed to buy.

As I mentioned before, the artist is Emil Lajos Kovács, a contemporary painter with a 20th century style. This is my opinion, not some expert's certification by the way.
It was a solo exhibition of the artist and there were quite many paintings exhibited, which allows you to identify or learn about the painting style of the artist. Obviously I didn't have hours to look at each square centimeter with a magnifying glass, but even without it, something became obvious, which is how he painted the trees.
There are thousands of ways to paint trees and are just as many tree types I bet, but what I saw here was a rough style when it came to trees, as you saw on the top painting. You can see similar trees on the painting on the bottom. This was kind of new as I've never seen anything similar, but I like it a lot. It looks good and gives the painting a unique style.

Another detail becomes obvious, if you look at the paintings, which is, most of the paintings have as topic or theme village life. Village landscapes, village churches, village houses, it's like a recurring topic.
I like the bottom one here, the church leaning slightly to the left. It's a bit darker than I'd like it and the size of the canvas is small, so it makes it even darker, but the golden frame with a cracked aspect corrects it quite nicely.

One of the things I appreciate and looking for in art, or in paintings to be precise is unusual, not standard canvas size and this qualifies perfectly. I love unconventional, especially when it comes to art and this vertically extended canvas is perfect. A bit dark, but I love the landscape.
While I was trying to align what I have to align when I'm taking photos, was thinking how much does the size of a painting count when it comes to sales. It definitely influences price, but not necessarily. How many times we've seen very small paintings cost a real fortune?
The Mona Lisa measures 77 cm × 53 cm (30 in × 21 in). If you ask AI how much it worth, this is what you're going to get:
The Mona Lisa is considered priceless and is not for sale. Its value is immeasurable due to its historical and cultural significance.
However, it has an estimated value, which is necessary for insurance, as you can't ensure something that has no estimated value, it's a no brainer.
Obviously, we can't compare these paintings with the famous and extremely ugly (trust me, I'm talking from experience, I saw it live with my own eyes years ago) Mona Lisa, but still.
Moving on with our exhibitions, things are changing here. Till now, you saw mostly landscapes, village paintings and some (or one) still life, but there's a portrait, a very interesting one. Looks at the rough colors and brush strokes. I've never seen a portrait like that. It's very unusual, but enjoyable in my opinion.
Another landscape, with those typical trees. In my first post I said I'd buy the still life with flowers, but the truth is, I love this one too. It's not as much the landscape that attracts me to it, it's rather the colors. That mustard yellow, the blue-ish trees, the lovely blue sky and the green hill are combined perfectly in this lovely dark brown frame.

Last, but not least, here's a painting of two houses, looking like two mushrooms. At first glance, I really thought these were mushrooms, but when I stepped closer it was clear I was wrong. I'd not want it on my wall, but I like it.
This is it for today, so tell me which one is you favorite and why. I hope you have one :) You'd better :D

the artist here indeed likes landscapes and villages or constructions anyways, i gotta say i like that subjects too so i can't blame him for using this recurring topic
my favorite pick here
it's like the artist is showing a picture taken from hidden a bush of a village, as if from outiside and hiding
When I saw the last one before reading I said to myself... they look like mushrooms and when I read what you wrote I smiled! It really looks like a fairytale landscape or something and I like it.
I think the artist has his own style marked not only by the paintings but also by the size and arrangement. My favourite today is the portrait, it's excellent with the distant and marked brushstrokes, it's fabulous, it's very well done!!! What a great display of art. Thank you!🤗
