There is a small piece of wild land that we often stop and take some photos on. Right when you exit the highway and the roads are getting more local. A well hidden entrance to a dirt road that leads to I dunno where. One side is fenced so we cant go to, but from the road side we can walk freely.
This is the only place I saw two types of wild orchids growing! Not this time though.. I missed it completely.
But the daisies are always there :)
This one thinks is the greener on the other side...
Is it little one? Is it?
Some grasses have such cool flowers!
This is the party behind the fence (photo below). I would love to go there... but even from where I was standing the view was quite amazing. And I can see all the trees covered in mosses and Lichens.
In case you wonder about the number on the tree bark - those are Cork Oaks trees. Their bark is used to produce anything cork. So every 10 years the bark is taken off and then the last number of the year is written on it. This would mean that it was taken in 2015, so 5 more years and the cork will be ready for harvest again.
Can you see goat head here?
This is how the area looks like. Old trees, trunks, bushes and wildflowers. You can hear the cars passing by (the road is parallel to the dirt road), but you cannot see them.
It feels like you just have to get our of the car to be in a completely different world.
Wild and unspoiled.
