Summer is not really the best time for bird photography, so I have to concentrate on other animals or landscape photography. One of these animals is the ground squirrel, but also hamsters and landscape photography is still possible in Summer. Bird photography on the other hand is getting more and more difficult, except you know some nice water spots where birds gather around.

As you might already know I like ground squirrels very much and this is why I visit them several times a year even if this means I have to drive 150-300 kilometers depending on the location I take pictures of them. Because they are already used to humans on one of the places I know, it is much easier to get some nice shots. More authentically shots I can get on another place I know, and I am looking forward to finding a place in Hungary where I can take some pictures of these cute animals. Maybe next year when we are all alowed to travel once again this will be possible.
At Lake Balaton you cannot only find some nice birds but also some ground squirrels according to my research.
