The night a short These days. So I am happy to share this series from the studio.
Offenbarung - Nimm deine Maske ab und lebe dein wahres Selbst, heißt es. Dennoch haben wir das Gefühl, in diesen verrückten Zeiten unsere Masken aufzusetzen. Light Painting Session mit Queen DIDI. Erstaunlicher Anwalt bei Tag und Model an diesem Abend. Vielen Dank für diese entspannte Sitzung. Die Nacht ist in diesen Tagen kurz. Daher freue ich mich, diese Serie aus dem Studio zu teilen.
What were the settings for the featured image?
What you see as Light Paintings are single 30 loooooong exposure time photograph. The camera was always set to ISO 100 and the Canon 70-200mm F18.
Was Ihr hier als Light Paintings seht sind jeweils einzel Aufnahmen mit 30 Sekunden Belichtungszeit. Die Kamera war auf ISO 100 und das Canon 70-200mm F18.
Step 1
At first, I ask her to pose in two steps. First, hold her chin and lean slightly forward. I lit her face and made her move backward and straight up and look straight into the camera.
Then secondly I lit her face again. Important here was to use the right hand so the mind sees her holding the Mask.
Schritt 1
Zuerst bat ich sie, in zwei Schritten zu posieren. Zuerst hielt sie ihr Kinn leicht nach vorne gelehnt. So hab Ich ihr Gesicht ausgeleuchtet. Dann etwas nach hinten lehnen und gerade in die Kamera schauen. Als zweites hab ich ihr Gesicht noch einmal eingeleuchtet. Wichtig war hier, die rechte Hand zu benutzen, damit der Geist sieht, wie sie die Maske hält.
The magic
The first test run took about five attempts to get it how I wanted it. After that, I wanted to add some kind of magic. The mask has to look different and shall show some difference potentially some mystic part.
That was adding another step to the first part of the performance. Here I used my favorite tool; the black fiber optic brush.
Touching her face with the brush very softly and short, just to add a simple effect not overblow and dominate the image but clearly visible. Hard line to walk sometimes.
Der erste Testlauf waren so 5 Bilder, um es so hinzubekommen, wie ich es wollte. Dann wollte ich noch etwas Magie. Die Maske musste anders aussehen und einen Unterschied zeigen, möglicherweise einen mystischen Teil.
Also während der ersten Phase wollte ich einen Lichteffekt hinzufügen. Wie immer dann: die Black Fiber Brush.
So hab ich dann nur kurz und sehr sanft, um diesen einfachen Effekt hinzuzufügt. Der Lichteffekt sollte nicht überladen oder dominierend im Bild werden. Immer wieder eine Gradwanderung.

For these images, I used the black one. Still, my favorite tool for Light Painting, because it always has this unpredictable aspect to every image.
Für diese Bilder habe ich das schwarze verwendet. Trotzdem mein Lieblingswerkzeug für Light Painting, weil es bei jedem Bild immer diesen unvorhersehbaren Aspekt hat.
