Visitar Monguí, Boyacá (Colombia), una ciudad muy pequeña, considera como uno de los pueblos patrimoniales de Colombia, fue una experiencia bastante colorida y llena de texturas por doquier. El turismo que se mueve en esa zona es alto, y pasar desapercibido para hacer fotografías es muy fácil, además, pareciera que los nativos ya están acostumbrados a ello. Este tipo de fotografías me agradan mucho ya que son muy espontáneas, no hay que estar pidiendo poses específicas ni interviniendo la escena.
Visiting Monguí, Boyacá (Colombia), a very small town, considered one of the heritage towns of Colombia, was a very colorful experience, full of textures everywhere. Las fachadas de los negocios y las casas fue un de las cosas que mas llamó mi atención mientras caminaba las calles de este pueblo. Me percaté que las texturas y lo florido era bastante consecuente, por ende, me centré en capturar este aspecto de Monguí. Estar en plena calle retratando escenas, espacios, formas... y todo aquellos que nos atrae, pareciera relativamente fácil, sin embargo, el clima es una variable que debemos considerar muy bien.
I love fresh and natural photographs, full of freedom. The facades of the stores and houses was one of the things that caught my attention while walking the streets of this town. I noticed that the textures and flowers were quite consistent, so I focused on capturing this aspect of Monguí. Being in the middle of the street portraying scenes, spaces, shapes... and everything that attracts us, seems relatively easy, however, the weather is a variable that we must consider very well.
Las ciudades son dinámicas y muchas cosas no las podemos controlar al momento de retratar estos espacios. Tuve la oportunidad de visitar este lugar, el día que se dio, las condiciones climáticas con las que me enfrenté no fueron las mas adecuadas, no me daba garantía de obtener una foto agradable a nivel de temperatura de color y cielos azulados y bonitos. Ese día empezó a llover en el pueblo, debía ser muy rápida la interpretación de la luz para tomar configuraciones adecuadas, además del agua que le caía a la cámara.

Fueron muchas las variables a las que me enfrenté ese día, la luz, el dinamismo de las personas y la lluvia, además de ellos, estar cuidando las composiciones, que para mi, son altamente fundamentales. Tener todo en la cabeza cuando las condiciones son favorables es bastante fácil, pero cuando ocurre algo que no esperamos es bastante complejo. No me esperaba la lluvia en el lugar, cuando llegamos al pueblo el clima esta relativamente soleado, eso me desconfiguró. A pesar de ello considero que conseguí buenas fotografías.
There were many variables that I faced that day, the light, the dynamism of the people and the rain, in addition to them, being careful with the compositions, which for me, are highly fundamental. Having everything in my head when conditions are favorable is quite easy, but when something happens that we do not expect it is quite complex. I didn't expect the rain in the place, when we arrived at the town the weather was relatively sunny, that threw me off. In spite of that I consider that I got some good pictures.
