En pleno corazón de la capital venezolana se erigen dos enormes construcciones de hormigón que con el pasar del tiempo se han convertido en iconos indiscutible del sentir caraqueño, en esta oportunidad hago referencia a la controversial Torre Este, la cual ha pasado por momentos muy difíciles, en el año 2004 un incendio de más de 15 horas consumió por completo 10 pisos de la estructura, pero gracias al excelente trabajo de los cuerpos de emergencia y la gran arquitectura del edificio este pudo soporta incólume dicha adversidad, desde ese momento un proceso de restauración le dio un nuevo diseño y la coloco de nuevo en primer plano del paisaje urbano. En lo personal el complejo Parque Central de Caracas es una de las estructuras que más me gusta fotografiar ya que transmite equilibrio, imponencia y gran belleza, además de que representa por completo el espíritu de aguante y perseverancia del verdadero caraqueño.
