These young ones found their haven in some corners of downtown Cebu. Two years ago, one Cebuana made it to the Tokyo Summer Olympics competing in the women's street event. She finished 7th, her name is Margielyn Didal. Her request was to have a skate park in Cebu and she was promised by Cebu City specifically then Mayor Osmeña that this will happen in South Road Properties.
I am not sure if this promise has been realized but I know that this area here is not part of the South Road Properties thus, perhaps the promise might be on halt or perhaps due to Osmeña's end of the reign, this will be forgotten already.
I have not tried skateboarding or street cycling sport but I am glad to see these young ones happily practicing their stunts. Unfortunately, it was already past four when we found them so we only had a few minutes to spare to take photos.
This will be an excellent excuse to go back in the future!
