More Fall in Vermont and new Garage drone shots

in Photography Lovers3 years ago

Took to the air to get some shots of our new garage under construction. Of course before I got to the garage, I couldn't help but grab a few shots of the neighborhood and some nearby houses.

Colors are really popping and just starting to fade a bit and fall off the trees. Another few weeks and most will be down. Still a wonderous site. Fall is my favorite time of year.

Nearby pond within flight range. Love the colors and view of the valley.

Here's some shots of the garage construction starting. It will be a 2-car garage size with a single extra wide garage door for both bays, a couple windows, and a walk-thru door. Half will be used for parking the other half for storage and workshop.

Of course here the ground moves a lot with freeze and unfreeze. There's also a lot of water during "mud season" in the spring. Hence there's a significant 3-4 ft deep concrete"footings" required around the edges of what will be the concrete floor, and gravel base to drain water, keep it solid and have the building last. We're hoping building a more permanent structure will also improve the property value.

Here's another view (with trees).

And just because the colors nice.

And then for those that stuck to the end, my favorite shot of the year.
Warning! I may post this again, lol.

Oh! Be still, my heart! Talk about beauty! I missed Vermont this season, went too early for good color, and never got back. Too late now, I will just have to make a point of next year.

You are really getting great mileage out of that drone. I love the winding river in the second shot. The garage is looking good! You are really moving it, getting things done! You gotta make hay while the sun shines!

Hope all is going well for you!

@tipu curate

Thanks, I'll give a heads up next year on the color, seems it runs about a week of warm up color, then a week of peak, then a week of still nice, but some starting to fade. That's about where we are now. I had really wanted to get out to the big lake (Champlain) for some shots, but too busy at work to get away. You'll have to give me a shout if you come up and we'll get your pretty mug on some of those drone shots!

Hey @ksteem, here is a little bit of BEER from @pixresteemer for you. Enjoy it!

I would say what a nice thing to live in such a beautiful place, literally in the nature. Dream place. Until I read the fact that Vermont has brutal, cold and dry winters with a lot of snow.

We may not have huge amounts of snow in the winters, but our winters are also cold. And I do not like that. My hands are in pain in and under -7 °C (19.40 °F), even in gloves.

Greetings from Hungary.

We are used to winter and snow, coming from much higher elevation in Colorado (they actually had snow this week already in the town we're from). Not sure how the cold will be for us though. It is much more humid here than we are used to, not sure if that will make it feel warmer or colder. It definitely felt hotter in the late summer for the same temperature.

Really nice place to live!

Wish I had something similar around here.... "Sadly" only a semidesertic place...

Thanks for share and greetings from Mexico.

Thank you, it is our dream spot for sure. That's what wheels are for my friend, if you don't like where you are, grab some wheels! It took us many years to make the dream happen, just don't lose sight of what you want and keep chipping away to get there.

the natural scenery is indeed extraordinary, I am happy to see nature as beautiful as this, thank you for sharing my friend, success is always for you buddy😍👍

Thank you, like any place it has it's pros and cons. The beauty is definitely a big plus!

an amazingly beautiful place. A very beautiful view opens up. 👍👍👍
