When you live in Berlin and run through the city every day, photographing all the sights is somehow not that exciting. Nevertheless, I sometimes find myself wandering around Berlin with my camera and taking photos. Yes, I don't just do light paintings and infrared photos or walk through some rundown lost places. Today I want to show you some of the "normal" photos from Berlin.
Wenn man in Berlin lebt und jeden Tag durch die Stadt rennt ist das Fotografieren der ganzen Sehenswürdigkeiten irgendwie nicht so spannend. Trotzdem überkommt es mich zuweilen mit der Kamera durch Berlin zu ziehen und Fotos zu machen. Ja, ich mach nicht nur Light Paintings und Infrarot Fotos oder laufe durch irgendwelche abgerockten Lost Places. Einige der "normalen" Fotos aus Berlin will ich euch heute zeigen.

As you might have guessed, I don't go out with my camera at midday in bright sunshine. Sometimes, like in this picture, I feel the need to take pictures during the blue hour, although that's not really my style. I think that can be overdone very quickly.
Wie ihr euch sicher schon denken konntet gehe ich dann aber doch nicht mittags bei strahlendem Sonnenschein mit der Kamera los. Manchmal, wie in diesem Bild, habe ich das Bedürfnis Aufnahmen während der blauen Stunde zu machen, obwohl das eigentlich nicht so mein Stil ist. Das kann man auch schnell überstrapazieren wie ich finde.

📷 Nikon D300s - Tokina 12-24/4- f8 - ISO 200 - 480 seconds - ND 1000 Filter - Karl-Marx-Allee
This picture was also taken during the blue hour. Here, however, I had screwed an ND filter 1000 in front of the lens. This resulted in the long exposure time of 8 minutes. Afterwards I converted the picture to black and white in Digikam. I like the brutal result.
Dieses Bild ist ebenfalls während der blauen Stunde entstanden. Hier hatte ich allerdings einen ND Filter 1000 vor das Objektiv geschraubt. Somit ergab sich die lange Belichtungszeit von 8 Minuten. Im Anschluss habe ich das Bild in Digikam in schwarz weiß umgewandelt. Mir gefällt das brutale Ergebnis.

I took the last picture for today during the Festival of Lights. The trail of light on the Spree has painted a colourfully lit ship into the picture.
Das letzte Bild für heute habe ich während des Festival of Lights aufgenommen. Die Lichtspur auf der Spree hat ein bunt beleuchtetes Schiff ins Bild gemalt.

Yes. I drive past Strausberger Platz almost every day. This was an interesting challenge to stop and change the view.
Love the Karl-Marx-Allee one dude. They're all cool but that one stands out for me.

Nice shots from "Dicke B" :). Für mich is meine Gegend auch GÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄHNNNNNN mittlerweile, obwohl es hier echt interessante Dinge gibt. Aber weil man sie kennt sieht man sie nicht mehr. Oder fährt nicht mehr hin 😂

Haste aufjedenfall hingekriegt ;). Well, Berlin has probably more to offer in hidden corners and strange gems than the Heidelberg area lol, so maybe we challenge you to find the Berlin soul. A shoot im Görli oder so 😂 . Just kidding lol.
