MATRIX? - Lightpainting on HIVE

ANOTHER NIGHT IN THE FOREST

This looks like a normal forest, doesn't it? You can't see it with the naked eye either. Only the camera could make the matrix visible. The forest is also part of the matrix. Most likely everything we think is reality is part of the matrix. I will check this with the camera soon. Now I finally know how to make the matrix visible.

It took me some time to get the image on the memory card the way I imagined it. Well, not exactly as I had imagined it. The green of the matrix could definitely be a bit stronger. I had tested different green colour filters as well as the RGB critter. I liked the result best with the dark green filter from Light Painting Paradise. Unfortunately, I didn't have the green Convoy S2+ with me. I will test this again soon.

Once again I was on my own. So on the one hand I was limited in terms of the amount of equipment, on the other hand some ideas can only be realised with a lot of effort on my own. And one of the most important aspects of light painting is almost completely missing: the fun. But of course it also has advantages to be on the road alone. You don't annoy your companions with endless failed attempts at testing the new technique or the new tool.

I didn't look at the clock, but I spent about two hours tinkering with this picture in the forest. The first idea was to go home again. But then I remembered that I hadn't taken a Camera Rotation picture yet. So I "quickly" rotated the forest. But here, too, it didn't really work out. Somehow yesterday was not my day. I needed four attempts for the rather simple rotation picture. The first one was burnt out, the second one I stood too far away from the camera, the third one too close... All the things that go wrong.

Was eben so alles schief geht.

I illuminated the forest with the Emisar D18 and the Noctigon DM11, then turned the camera 180°, changed the colour filters of the two torches and then repeated the illumination. And then it was really over. A huge fox then accompanied me part of the way at a suitable distance. I have never seen such a big fox before. At first I thought someone had released a wolf.

WHAT IS LIGHT PAINTING?

Light painting is a unique form of art. The darkness is illuminate by the artist with diverse light sources and light traces are paint into the picture with various light tools. Various techniques are use, such as camera rotation or other movements of the camera during the exposure. The creative possibilities are almost unlimited. All the pictures were taken during one single exposure. Apart from denoising, sharpening, cutting and possibly adjusting the white balance, the pictures are not processed on the computer.

FIRE fam!!!Followed!

Coole Matrix. Was deine Kamera so alles sieht. Meine macht dat nicht.... 😉

Nee?

Most likely everything we think is reality is part of the matrix.

Ha! Beyond the curtain of the five senses is expansive.

The last photo is my favourite. Why do you find that no fun is present when working on your own? It's rare I've worked with someone else to shoot, aside from running into another photographer by accident while shooting in the summer, so not a planned thing.

I guess I wasn't far off in my last comment about wolves...having a large fox escort out, what a thing!

There are no wolves in the Berlin forest. 😁

I miss the jokes of my mates when I am alone. And the tips and help too.

LMAO! In the back of my mind, I'm thinking of the wolves that live about four hours drive north of me.

Ahh, the jokes of your mates, the tips, all that, totally get it. I think I'm too used to working solo now, from years of focus on carving, which tends to be quite solitary when it's miniature work.

There are wolves ten kilometres away from Berlin. Maybe I should go there. 🤔

HAHAHA! Go in a pack, so pack can meet pack. That's not far outside the city, way closer than here. We do have coyotes in this city.

Coyotes? Not bad. 😂

I don't want to meet one. I've heard from some that they've lost their dogs to them here. The closest I saw one was in British Columbia, up on a ridge coming on end of day. That one was massive, bigger than I thought they were, but then, animals in British Columbia seem to be wilder, bigger, and more of them. Where I'm from, it's big cats and bears one needs to be aware of, no coyote or wolves.

Dear @lichtkunstfoto, we need your help!

The Hivebuzz proposal already got important support from the community. However, it lost its funding a few days ago and only needs a bit more support to get funded again.

May we ask you to support it so our team can continue its work?
You can do it on Peakd, ecency,
