TWO ANNIVERSARIES - CHEERS!
In November 2012, I waved the torches in front of the camera for the first time. Since then I have been obsessed with them. I don't know how many pictures I've taken since then. I haven't lost the desire for this particular art form yet. In my early days, however, the number of failed attempts was much higher than nowadays.
I hope we can toast the anniversary this weekend when we put the abandoned airfield in the right light with our torches once again. Here's to the next ten years!
Im November 2012 fuchtelte ich das erste Mal mit den Taschenlampen vor der Kamera herum. Seitdem bin ich besessen davon. Ich weiß nicht, wie viele Bilder ich seitdem gemacht habe. Die Lust an dieser besonderen Kunstform ist mir bisher nicht vergangen. In meiner Anfangszeit war allerdings die Zahl der Fehlversuche ungleich höher als heutzutage.
Ich hoffe, wir können am Wochenende auf das Jubiläum anstsossen wenn wir ein weiteres Mal den verlassenen Flugplatz mit unseren Taschenlampen ins rechte Licht rücken. Auf die nächsten zehn Jahre!
ONE YEAR ON HIVE
A year ago today, I created my account with HIVE. A few years ago, I had already toyed with the idea of registering here, but it all seemed far too complicated to me at the time. I had no contact whatsoever with cryptocurrencies. I also didn't have the nerve to deal with it.
However, I was less and less keen on the "old" social networks. I cancelled my Instagram account four years ago. This stupid fuss was just getting on my nerves. People buy followers and likes and then are happy that they are great artists because they get sooo many likes for their pictures. That's totally sick.
A year ago, I deleted my Facebook and YouTube accounts. My reach became more and more limited. Some posts were deleted because of some "community guidelines". Every 5 minutes, Facebook told me I needed to check out Covid 19. Really? If I want to know about some imaginary pandemic, I can find the important information without the help of some watchdog. In short, I was fed up with censorship, paternalism and all the nonsensical posturing of the busybodies. I am an adult and not a kindergarten child. I am perfectly capable of leading a self-determined life of integrity without any busybodies constantly wanting to interfere with it.
Heute vor einem Jahr habe ich meinen Account bei HIVE erstellt. Ich hatte vor einigen Jahren schonmal mit dem Gedanken gespielt mich hier anzumelden, mir erschein das damals alles viel zu kompliziert. Ich hatte keinerlei Berührungspunkte mit Krytptowährungen. Ich hatte auch keinen Nerv mich damit zu beschäftigen.
Ich hatte allerdings immer weniger Bock auf die "alten" sozialen Netzwerke. Meinen Account bei Instagram habe ich bereits vor 4 Jahren gekündigt. Dieses blödsinnige Getue ging mit nur noch auf den Sack. Da kaufen sich die Leute Follower und Likes und freuen sich dann, dass sie großartige Künstler sind weil sie sooo viele Likes für ihre Bilder bekommen. Das ist doch total krank.
Vor einem Jahr habe ich dann meine Accounts bei Facebook und Youtube gelöscht. Meine Reichweite wurde immer weiter eingeschränkt. Einige Beiträge wurden wegen irgendwelcher "Community Richtlinien" gelöscht. Alle 5 Minuten sagte mir Facebook, dass ich mich über Covid 19 informieren muss. Echt? Wenn ich was über irgendeine herbei fantasierte Pandemie wissen will finde ich die wichtigen Informationen auch ohne die Hilfe von irgendwelchen Aufpassern. Kurzum ich hatte die Schnauze gestrichen voll von Zensur, Bevormundung und dem ganzen blödsinnigen Getue der Wichtigtuer. Ich bin ein erwachsener Mensch und kein Kindergartenkind. Ich bin sehr wohl in der Lage ein selbstbestimmtes, integres Leben zu führen, ohne dass sich dauernd irgendwelche Wichtigtuer sich in dieses einmischen wollen.
But somehow it doesn't work without an audience and without exchange with like-minded people and people interested in my art. And HIVE is a good platform for that. To be honest, I'm a bit annoyed by now that I didn't become part of this special network much earlier.
From the very beginning, I got a lot of applause and a lot of recognition. I had not expected that. In the meantime, more than 2300 HP have accumulated in my wallet. I don't compare myself to others and don't know if that's particularly much, but I'm more than satisfied with this, for me, very big success. But even more important than these numbers are the interactions with many interested people and colleagues.
So ganz ohne Publikum und ohne Austausch mit Gleichgesinnten und Interessierten an meiner Kunst, geht es aber auch irgendwie nicht. Und da ist HIVE eine gute Plattform. Ehrlich gesagt, ärgere ich mich mittlerweile etwas, dass ich nicht schon viel früher Teil dieses besonderen Netzwerkes geworden bin.
Von Beginn an bekam ich viel Applaus und viel Anerkennung. Damit hatte ich nicht gerechnet. Mittlerweile haben sich über 2300 HP in meiner Wallet angesammelt. Ich vergleiche mich nicht mit anderen und weiß nicht, ob das besonders viel ist, aber ich bin mehr als zufrieden mit diesem, für mich sehr großen, Erfolg. Aber noch viel wichtiger als diese Zahlen sind die Interaktionen mit vielen Interessierten und den Kollegen.
PRESENT
For our anniversary, I made myself a present. I bought a new torch for part of the rewards. What else? It is an Emisar D4K. It has 4 Nichia 519A LEDs with 4500K. The LEDs have a high colour rendering index and the torch emits a very nice light.
Zum Jahrestag habe ich mir selbst ein Geschenk gemacht. Ich habe für einen Teil der Rewards eine neue Taschenlampe gekauft. Was auch sonst? Es handelt sich um eine Emisar D4K. Verbaut sind 4 Nichia 519A LEDs mit 4500K. Die LEDs haben einen hohen Farbwiedergabeindex, die Taschenlampe emittiert ein sehr schönes Licht.
I hope to post many more here in the future and also read many interesting posts from other people. I hope for growth of the network. I hope for more inspiring art and more people I can inspire with my art. Here's to the next 365 days!

Wow, look at that paint peeling, I really like that. I'm going always be limited with what I can do with lightpainting. Was thinking that today, but that will just put me in a position to be more creative in my approach.
