MORE ART WITH PRISMS

📷 Nikon D750 - Nikkor 17-35/2,8 - f5,6 - ISO 100 - 53 seconds

I am currently obsessed with two things, the lone oak and the, not so new anymore, prisms. So today I'll show you some more results. All pictures were taken in a single exposure and not processed on the computer. I lit the scene in all the pictures with the Emisar D4V2 and different colour filters. I attached various prisms in front of the Nikkor lens. Some prisms are rotatable. So I changed the effect of the prism by using different positions.

But first I illuminated the tree without a prism to test which aperture, which ISO and which time are necessary to illuminate the tree.

It was getting foggier and foggier. Finally, I took two more pictures where I changed the zoom during the exposure and re-lit the tree in each position. The effect is intensified by the fog.

WHAT IS LIGHT PAINTING?

Light painting is a unique form of art. The darkness is illuminate by the artist with diverse light sources and light traces are paint into the picture with various light tools. Various techniques are use, such as camera rotation or other movements of the camera during the exposure. The creative possibilities are almost unlimited. All the pictures were taken during one single exposure. Apart from denoising, sharpening, cutting and possibly adjusting the white balance, the pictures are not processed on the computer.

"obsessed with", lol, boy do I ever know that feeling. How could you not be into that tree? I'm so into trees, there are specific ones I have conversations with when we meet up. The prisms...glorious.

The second one, love that icy blue colour. All the rest with the green and the differences in each with the oak tree are also cool, can't pick a favourite because the tree morphs into all these interesting forms.

The foggy ones, don't you just love having fog available? The first one of those is abstract and trippy, but I like both.

No beer?

Thanks 😊.
I have no problem with fog in general, but there is a point of too much. If the camera can't see the oak anymore I can take the picture in my garden without a walk of 30 minutes. 😂

You're welcome 😊. So you must get quite a bit of fog where you are, that thick soupy stuff I bet. It's rare there is fog here that is thicker, but even so, not so thick it's not workable. I miss the days of disappearing into fog in a few footsteps.

😂😂, what a picture.

Passiert mir immer mal wieder..... 😁
