During the last walk we endured the rain. Well, in the meantime, rain stopped, because so far it hasn’t happened that it starts raining and doesn’t stop. And so we welcomed a cloudy morning which soon turned into a very nice day…

A day made for a walk to the Museum and some unfinished business along the way. But let’s go step-by-step, from the very morning on the street.

На прошлој шетњи истрпели смо кишу. Е, па, у међувремену је стала, пошто се досад није десило да киша почне да пада и више не престане. И тако смо дочекали облачно јутро које се ускоро претворило у врло леп дан…

Дан као створен за шетњу до Музеја и успут обављање неких недовршених послова. Али кренимо редом, од јутра на улици.

The first unfinished business. Since I now have a lens long enough to capture details at my old High School building… remember that building? It is the work of the architect Milorad Ruvidić from 1904, and today it is protected as a cultural monument.

Први недовршени посао. Пошто сад имам довољно јак објектив да снимим детаље на згради Гимназије… сећате се те зграде? Она је дело архитекте Милорада Рувидића из 1904. године, и данас је заштићена као споменик културе.

The building was recently tidied up and this was, of course, an evening shot. Now, after such a beautiful day, we will shoot sculptures on the facade of the building, the details of which cannot be easily seen from a distance.

Зграда је недавно дотерана и ово је, наравно, био вечерњи снимак. Сад ћемо по овако лепом дану снимити скулптуре на прочељу зграде чији се детаљи не могу лако видети на удаљености.

These are two human figures, male and female, done in the style of classicism, but rarely seen up close like this:

У питању су две људске фигуре, мушка и женска, урађене у стилу класицизма али ретко овако изблиза виђене:

The female figure looks rather sleepless and grumpy. I have the impression that she would like to say to the sculptor a few words in private. About that on another occasion. We now continue our walk towards the Museum where there is another sculpture. Now the day is becoming beautiful with all the gorgeous autumn colors on the trees…

Женска фигура делује прилично неиспавано и мрзовољно. Имам утисак да би желела да вајару каже пар речи насамо. Али о томе другом приликом. Настављамо сад шетњу према Музеју где се налази још једна скулптура. Сад дан постаје прелеп са свим раскошним јесењим бојама на дрвећу…

In front of the Museum there is a sculpture of a woman with a dove in her hand, another work by sculptor Angelina Gatalica for the manifestation “Marble and Sounds”…

Пред Музејом налази се скулптура жене са голубом у руци, још један рад вајара Ангелине Гаталице за манифестацију „Мермер и звуци“…

You will remember her too. She sculpted that beautiful sculpture called Motherhood which stands in the park of Bukovička Banja in Arandjelovac. Outstanding work worth seeing again:

Присетићете се и ње. Она је извајала ону прелепу скулптуру под називом Материнство која стоји у парку Буковичке Бање у Аранђеловцу. Изванредан рад кога вреди видети поново:

And after the work is done, now it’s time for a climb uphill, next to the once famous, and today architecturally destroyed building Endowments of Steva Kuzmanović Kršljanin.

И по обављеном послу, следи успон узбрдо, покрај некад чувене, а данас архитектонски уништене зграде Задужбине Стеве Кузмановића Кршљанина.

On the way back, I meet a friend just at the right time. How fast time flew by! That’s enough for today. And now a bit of rest follows, we turn off the camera while our @dragannenadic and I wait for a coffee in a cafe at Choma’s and gather strength for the next walk…

У повратку, у прави час срећем пријатеља. Како је брзо пролетело време! Доста је било за данас. Следи одмор, гасимо камеру док наш @dragannenadic и ја чекамо кафицу у кафанчету код Чоме и прикупљамо снагу за наредну шетњу…
