Welcome to the fourth post (aka part fourth) dedicated to our little travelling across Ukraine. My previous posts sort of covered the Chernobyl power plant, Duga Radar, and other places of the Exclusion zone. In this contribution, we explore the city of Pripyat (Ukraine). What did we see? Check it out in this post😉
Before we enter the city, our ride stops here. Red Forest behind the tracks.
Why Red? Well, high radiation burnt local trees, so they turned their color to red. Also, our radiometer signals higher than usual values of radiation if you keep walking towards Red Forest.
Welcome to Pripyat/При́пʼять!
The city welcomes us with its local hospital.

Now entering Café Pripyat.
Nice glass windows.

Few meters further, there is this ferry terminal.
Do you see the sunken boat in the distance?
Moving on... Stunning mosaic of cinema building.
Pripyat City Hall. After the disaster, home of offices dealing with the disaster.
Hotel Polissya.

Finally. At the amusement park. Old good bumper cars😁

Now in front of Ferris wheel.
Avanhard football stadium in Pripyat. A bit of overgrown, isn't it?

Série rozhodně zajímavá, ale také poněkud ponurá, takže díky za ni a příště se budu těšit už zas na nějaký ten odlehčující fotogenický hike s malebnými pivními zákoutími :D

Njn, není to tam tak růžové, holt taková je realita. Přesto tam lidi žijí a jsou tam i veselá místa. Třeba fauna/flora tam relativně zkvétá.
