Greetings #photographylovers friends, I hope and have a happy and blessed day. I want to share with you these photos of the small pig farm that my uncle William has.
La historia de esta pequeña granja de cerdos comenzó hace años, cuando mi tío decidió comprar una cerda grande para engordarla sin saber que estaba embarazada y dio a luz a 12 lechones. Mi tío construyó este lugar para ellos. Empezó a criarlos hasta que crecieron. Algunos los vendió y otros los conservó para aparearse y criar. Así que para mi tío este es otro trabajo además del que hace. Lo hace con mucha pasión y dedicación.
The history of this small pig farm started years ago when my uncle decided to buy a big sow to fatten her up without knowing that she was pregnant and gave birth to 12 piglets. My uncle built this place for them. He started raising them until they grew up. Some he sold and some he kept to mate and breed. So for my uncle this is another job besides the one he does. He does it with a lot of passion and dedication.
Es un lugar pequeño que está dividido por varios compartimentos. Allí se pueden encontrar cerdos, tanto grandes como pequeños.
It is a small place that is divided by several compartments. There you can find pigs, both large and small.
He llegado justo cuando están terminando de comer. Por las mañanas, mi tío William va al mercado y busca verduras para alimentarlos. Por la tarde les da su comida equilibrada y así los alimenta.
I have arrived just as they are finishing their meals. In the mornings my uncle William goes out to the market and looks for vegetables to feed them. In the afternoon he feeds them their balanced meal and in this way he feeds them.
Pude notar que hay algunos con manchas y otros de color oscuro, son de diferentes razas. Mi tío los baña y cada vez que comen limpia todo el lugar. Le gusta tener el lugar limpio y en lo posible sin malos olores.
I could notice that there are some with spots and other dark color, they are different breeds. My uncle bathes them and every time they eat he cleans the whole place. He likes to have the place clean and as much as possible without bad smells.
Mi tío me cuenta que hace unos días su amigo Luis Ventura vino a recoger a los cerdos grandes para llevarlos a otro establo y aparearlos con otros cerdos. Luego los traen y preparan un lugar para que den a luz.
My uncle tells me that a few days ago his friend Luis Ventura came to pick up the big pigs to take them to another barn to mate them with other pigs. Then they bring them and prepare a place for them to give birth.
Son animales que requieren atención y cuidados. Un veterinario acude semanalmente para revisarlos y darles vacunas y medicamentos.
They are animals that require attention and care. A veterinarian comes weekly to check them and give them vaccinations and medications.
Puedo ver el gran trabajo que hace mi tío cada día. Es el amor y la dedicación en querer hacer las cosas y poder mantener estos cerdos en buenas condiciones. Espero que les haya gustado mi visita a la granja de mi tío William.
I can see the great work my uncle does every day. It is the love and dedication in wanting to get things done and being able to keep these pigs in good condition. I hope you liked my visit to my uncle William's farm.
