What an impressive three-toed box turtle!
We've seen a lot of these recently. The three-toed box turtle is the most common box turtle in our area, and they have a wide range of colorations. This one has both an impressive shell and some amazing "paint" on its head and limbs. Just seeing these is cool enough for me, but it's awesome to have them crawling around on our property. Check it out, isn't it a beaut?
