Today I want to share with you some pictures that I captured on a sad day for my family: we went to scatter the ashes of an uncle-in-law into the sea.
A few days ago I told you that I live on an island and it is not difficult to get to the beaches. However, this place where we went is really beautiful and I had not visited it for many years. It really surprised me again.

Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes unas gráficas que capturé en un dÃa triste para mi familia: fuimos a esparcir al mar las cenizas de un tÃo polÃtico.
Hace unos dÃas les comenté que habito en una isla y no está dificil llegarse a las playas. Sin embargo, éste lugar donde fuimos es realmente hermoso y tenÃa muchÃsimos años que no lo visitaba. De verdad que me volvió a sorprender.
Despite the beauty of the place, I could notice that the lighthouse, which was dozens of years old, was useless and no longer emitted its signal to navigators. Now, it only gave rest to pelicans and other seabirds.
A pesar de la belleza del lugar, pude notar que el faro que tenÃa decenas de años, estaba inservible, ya no emitÃa su señal a los navegantes. Ahora, sólo prestaba descanso a los pelÃcanos y demás aves marinas.
However, the lighthouse at Playa El Tirano, where we went with the family, retained its beauty, not because its shell was already corroded, but because it was still standing tall despite the roar of the northeast wind; it was as if it was proudly resisting the force of the elements.

It thrills me to imagine how useful the lighthouse was to ships when it was operational. Its light must have been bright and powerful and reached miles with its refulgent flash.

It was a beautiful sunset, and the lighthouse stood, making its presence felt through the sun's rays, not caring that when night came, it would disappear into the dense darkness.

It was almost an ornament next to an old abandoned hotel, but it conveyed character to the whole landscape, without the lighthouse the beach would be monotonous.

We returned home with an emptiness for the death of my uncle, but my soul was consoled with such beautiful memories of that old lighthouse.
