How was the hike in the dark? It sounds kind of dangerous in this kind of terrainb ut I have no idea if you were just walking or emulating our close relatives the mountain goats XD

You get used to hiking in the dark. Just don't step onto things that remain dark when you shine your torch on them lol
If something remains dark after shining a light on it that sounds like it requires investigation if you're dumb or bailing the hell on out of there if you're not XD
