Intro
I can smell again for the first time in over 30 years! A nose operation worked wonders and I am celebrating it with an article about roses and their smell, the way it is slowly returning to me. All pictures are from my garden from yesterday.
Nach über 30 Jahren kann ich das erste Mal wieder riechen! Eine Nasenoperation hat Wunder bewirkt und ich feiere das mit einem Artikel über Rosen und deren Geruch, so wie er sich bei mir langsam wieder einstellt. Alle Bilder sind aus meinem Garten von gestern.

The color of this rose is the typical pink, which appears here from dark to almost white due to the sun. I can hardly grasp the smell, most likely with dark and heavy.
Die Farbe dieser Rose ist das typische rosa, das hier von dunkel bis fast weiß durch die Sonne erscheint. Den Geruch kann ich schwerlich fassen, am ehesten mit dunkel und schwer.
apricot
With this species, I immediately notice the sweet smell, matching the color, most likely with ripe apricots.
Bei dieser Art fällt mir sofort der süssliche Geruch auf, passend zur Farbe am ehesten mit reifen Aprikosen.
dark red
I have to pass here and can't detect any odor. I will keep trying for the next few days and slowly sensitize myself further.
Hier muß ich passen und kann keinen Geruch feststellen. Ich werde es die nächsten Tage über weiter versuchen und mich langsam weiter sensibilisieren.
wild rose
I'm sure I've already overwhelmed myself, but the smell of this kind is still in the dark for me.
Bestimmt habe ich mich bereits überfordert, aber der Geruch auch dieser Art ist für mich noch im Dunkeln.

Ich freue mich für Dich das Du nach der Operation wieder riechen kannst. Ein wirklich wichtiges Sinnesorgan was oft unterschätzt wird. Man merkt es erst wenn man es nicht mehr hat.

Alles Gute mit Deiner Nase! Ich konnte mal wegen einer (damals) Erkältung für ein paar Monate nichts riechen. War dramatisch, denn meine ganzen Weine waren danach für mich nur noch Plörre. War glücklich als der Geruchssinn zurück kam. Ein interessantes Buch über Nasenatmung ist James Nestor, "Breath - The new Science of a lost art". Hat meine Ansicht über das Atmen völlig verändert.
Ross has a very well scent and fragrance which always attract me, but at my childhood, the type of scent i had smelled is totally absent in rose which is buy from the flower shop. Photos are very nice and attractive to watch their petal expanding.
