📷 The Nuggets of New Zealand

in Photography Lovers3 years ago

These rocky islets at the northern end of the Catlins coast, at South Island of New Zealand, are said to have been given this name due to their form of gold nuggets.

I don’t know what about gold nuggets — I haven’t seen it myself, but these ocean nuggets, looking out of the turquoise depths of the sea, are very pretty. It's good that there is an opportunity to shoot them from above - from the Nugget Point Lighthouse.

The rather short and easy walk up the trail to the lighthouse is worth seeing these views, seeing the ocean — as always.

It's better to watch the photo in high resolution.

WOW! - been there, but your photos always look better!

Better than the real place? I don't think so :) In fact, I remember Nuggets point as a very beautiful place, and due to the fact that the light and conditions on the sea are constantly changing, the place contains more beautiful, but sometimes subtle moments than anyone ever could photograph, even if he shot every day.

Well, in any case, the correct cropping and looking not in the middle of a sunny day, when everything is too sharp and faded at the same time, always make the pictures better :)

Awesome photos. In the first one you can see the various layers of rock that were most likely lifted vertically by tectonic forces. As a rockhound I always love seeing the layers.

Thank you!
Yes, I also always like to see such vertical, "strange" layers in the stone, it is a little mesmerizing. And if they are also bent by some kind of wave together, layer by layer ... Beauty!

Wow it looks like heaven!

Definitely a small branch in the ocean :)

That's a picturesque branch of the ocean, and the photos are awsome!

Thank you! :)

Nice these look like paintings with the longer exposure!

Yes, long exposure often gives beautiful artistic effects. I like it sometimes:)

Taken long ago, with my 1.3 megapixel camera - better to watch this photo in low resolution!

The higher the resolution of the camera, the larger the size of the pictures is nice to look at, this happens, though not always, but often 😁 Thank you for sharing your photo! It's also nice - the place is really very cool.
I heard that these rocks were going to be included in the territory of some nature reserve?
