The combination of these three natural elements makes this place transmit me a wild, exotic air, perfect to disconnect from any routine. To get there you have to cross a very curvy road through a spectacular cloud forest, where at first everything is uphill between the mountains but when the destination is near, you go down and once the road clears unexpectedly the sea appears in the landscape.
La combinación de estos tres elementos naturales hace que este lugar me transmita un aire salvaje, exótico, perfecto para desconectarse de cualquier cosa rutinaria. Para llegar hay que atravesar una muy curvilínea carretera por un espectacular bosque nublado, donde al principio todo es subida entre las montañas pero cuando está cerca el destino, vas descendiendo y una vez el camino se despeja inesperadamente aparece el mar en el paisaje.
Shortly before the road ends, the river also appears on one side, almost all of it hidden among the lush vegetation.

And finally we flow into Cuyagua, a fabulous beach on the coast of Aragua state, Venezuela.

We went with the intention of camping that weekend and were greeted by a large palm forest for that, more than ideal.

Cuyagua is a beach that is usually frequented by surfers, so its waves are quite dynamic.

The length of this beach is about a kilometer, it's super nice to walk around and anywhere you feel like taking a dip to beat the heat.

As you move away from the part where the palm forest and most of the people are, an incredible panoramic view of the beach and the surrounding mountains opens up.

Looking across you find some scattered palm trees, cars parked near the dirt road and a few people camping away from where the others are concentrated.

At sunset many people dive into the river to wash the salt water off their bodies. As the temperature of the water isn't cold, you can stay until nightfall if you want.

The colors that combine in the sky at that hour give a dreamlike touch to everything around.

Before it gets dark we go for a walk around what this small part of the village, facing the sea, has to offer visitors.

Apart from the creativity of the locals in decorating their restaurants, drink stands and the general atmosphere in Cuyagua, one of the things I like is that you can walk barefoot, there is no asphalt.

Of course the party is something that is not lacking here, the restaurants turn into discos at night.

We had breakfast and before going up a hill at one end of the beach, we took a quick swim in the river and the beach.

As you can see the day was spectacular, blue sky and intense sun, that is, the Caribbean in all its splendor.

We walked up the hill, not very high but quite rocky and steep. It's a perfect viewpoint of all of Cuyagua, something not to be missed when coming here.
Caminamos hacia el cerro, no es muy alto pero sí bastante rocoso y empinado. Es un mirador perfecto de toda Cuyagua, algo que no hay que perderse al venir acá.
At the top there is dense vegetation that allows you to cool off a bit while enjoying these brutal views.
En la cima hay una tupida vegetación que te permite refrescarte un poco mientras disfrutas de estas brutales vistas.
After lunch, we finally went to The Cave, which is at the other end of the beach, near the river. A rocky path led us to a large rock with holes in its surface where you can get into as long as the waves are not too strong.
Después de almorzar, por último nos fuimos a La Cueva, que queda por el otro extremo de la playa, cerca del río. Un camino lleno de piedras que nos condujo a una gran roca con orificios en su superficie en los que te puedes meter siempre y cuando el oleaje no esté muy fuerte.
