Colors of the Rain

Rain can be a mood dampener. Once again it has disrupted my plans, there were errands to do and some material to be bought, but all of that would have to wait for another day. I am determined not to let the weather get the better of me. What other way than to cheer myself than to be with nature?

The rain turned to a fine drizzle and that was my chance to go to my garden with my phone in hand, I didn't risk taking the camera with me. What I saw there gladdened my heart and made me smile once again. I decided to share some of these scenes with you, even though they are water laden they are a pretty sight and I hope they warm your heart as well.

One look at the shamrock growing abundantly would normally annoy me, but today, I was happy to see them. More so to capture them digitally.

Waterlilies drenched in water. Is this the irony of nature of just the beauty of nature? I love waterlilies either way.

The colors of rain! Have you ever thought of rain as being colorful? Looking at these bougainvilleas I think rain is colorful. It may take on what ever color it likes for the moment.

Shy or weighed down with worry? Seems like the weight of the oceans were on this hibiscus.

Will this bud bloom? It really doesn't matter look at the beauty of this bud adorned by rain drops. This is its moment of glory.

Bubbling jelly beans. Are these succulents having fun in the rain? It seems to me that they are bubbling over with joy.

Leaves are never really attractive unless they are colorful, right? Observe the magic web that rivets your eyes to these leaves here. Try taking them off these.

Periwinkles bowing down to the ground unable to bear the weight of water on their petals.

Orchids dripping with water. They may not last long in these conditions, but they've had their fill I guess.

For once I think weeds look amazing. My hands don't itch to uproot them instead I try to immortalize these shamrocks here.

This is not good for these succulents which are already loaded with water and bloated like balloons. Yet it is a pretty sight that I don't want to miss.

Tip rot the head warns, lovely says the heart drenched in the beauty of the moment.

No matter how you stand or who you are, you will not be spared when I decide to rain down. This kalanchoe was just getting back its color from the sun shine we had for a couple of days this week and here we go again.

Pomegranate blooms blessed by the rain. I hope the fruits remain sweet and juicy as usual. Sometimes the rain makes the fruits tasteless.

Leaves on the ground have their moment of glory. Why deny them of their two seconds of fame?

Periwinkles on a sunny day look so cheerful, these look miserable in this kind of weather.

The scent of roses still hang around, its as if the rain cannot beat down the fragrance of these beauties. I stand here enjoying their scent as I take a couple of shots.

In focus and out of focus. The beauty of a rain drop hanging heavily on a branch just ready to drop and soak the earth with its goodness. I love the clarity here on the first one, I only wish there was some object in the background which it could reflect.

It is a wet day gloomy here but its been a fun day for me. My heart is soaked heavily in the perfume of roses and the freshness of the sights I see.

Have a wonderful weekend and thanks for all your support!

You're welcome @sofs-su! Have a nice day 😊👍

That butterfly looking plant is so beautiful with water droplets round its edges. Water droplets have a way of making plants in images look so beautiful. I love them, it's been a while since it rained in my area, everywhere is just hot and I can't wait to have the rain come down. Nice shots

Hi @teknon , thank you for stopping by to let me know your preference.
Its has been raining so much here I wish I could send some of this rain to your neck of the woods.
Here the temperatures have been dropping like crazy and more is predicted.
Sorry for the delay in responding. I haven't been doing too well.

It's fine! Haven't been active myself. Have a lot to do at hand. Hope you're alright?

I am learning to cope with difficulties and trying to get back on track. Thanks for the concern @teknon

Oh that's great news. You're absolutely welcome 😊

this is my favorite, the drops almost blend with the color of the flowers, making it look like a very pretty stamp

Thank you @malos10. I appreciate you stopping by to let me know your favorite image.
These are the only waterlilies that bloom in this kind of weather, the others need sun.
Have a wonderful day!
