Each building has its own spirit, and it's a shame it's coming to an end. Modern concrete could be improved to be more like what the Romans used, which is getting stronger and stronger every year. At least it will survive on the postcards you share with us.
Indeed, I saw a documentary about Roman architecture and their "concrete". I believe today's scientist are still wondering what the romans precisely used to make it.
