Saturday Series Car shows, a few classics

Saturday Series Car shows, a few classics

Thanks for all the support yesterday
I did the cardiac stress test I was feeling good walking on the treadmill they got my heart rate up to 120 I was feeling good breathing a bit heavy but still talking to the nurses and thought I was doing well but they stopped the treadmill as the finger oxygen thingy said my oxygen level said my oxygen level dropped to 89 they had me lay on a bed and put the oxygen meter back on maybe a minute later and my level was 97 again which seemed weird to me it would recover that quickly but ohh well they did the injection to speed up my heart and finished the test that way
I find out on Tuesday the test results and whether I am cleared for surgery or need anything else done first

Good Morning all, as is my habit on Saturdays I am sharing some shots of car shows I visited this year, and today some more from a 60s themed night in the historic district here in New Bedford. it was a cool event as not only did so many cars turn up for people to see but they had a few vendors in spots around the streets as well as three spots where live music was being played, but I didn't stay too long as it got quite crowded and I really do not like crowds, yeah I know you can feel free to call me anti-social LOL

For this week I selected a few images of the cars I am calling classics although some may not really fit that catergory and I will mention why I think that when I get to them

Starting with this one which I think there is no debate its safe to call this one a classic and a real nice one

And this next one slips into the catergory where a purist may not consider it a classic I guess, sures its a classic frame and body but has been souped up a bit I suspect

And back to a pure classic I am guessing fromthe number plate from back in 1940

Now the previous one I mentioned may be debateable if its a classic, and I think this one even more so, I guess it would be classed as a hot rod and not a classic, but then again I am no expert on cars old or modern so I could well be wrong

Either way I did really like this one

and another nice old classic and I loved the color of this one, yeah I know I am a sucker for the blues

Hello dear friend @tattoodjay good morning
It's good that the time for your puberty has finally arrived, let's hope that Tuesday's results are as expected.
What a beautiful collection of classic cars, how much work and dedication went into them.
Have a great day

I wish I had a vintage too

Fun old classics. I like the older classics like these from the 40s and the T-buckets are even older. Now you see people with a car from the 1970s calling it a classic 🙄 glad you got through the heart test, sounds like they were just being very careful.

I to love the real old classics

and thanks :)

Wow what a collection of classics! That style always brings me back to the ZZ TOP album covers and I can almost hear those custom engines growling.

I have been distracted the last couple weeks and missed the story that is leading up to surgery. I will go back and carch up but am here is there is anything i can do to help!

Yeah when I see classics some of them do remind me of ZZ Top

Nothing to big to catch up on, long story short, I have had a lot of growths (Polyps) on my colon during my 6 monthly colonoscopies, and did a genetic test and have a high (95%) chance of devekloping colon cancer and 6 monthly colonoscopies wont kepe up with them so they have recommended to remove most of my colon, which is scheduled for the 5th of Feb if I get clearance from the Cardio Dr, its a Major Surgery but worth it to reduce the chance of gettign cancer

I love this kind of car! What engine does the yellow car in the fourth picture have?

Sorry I am no expert on cars or engines so I do not know

Wow! Talk about some beauties! Those are all awesome cars... I wish I had one of each!

What surgery are they trying to clear you for?

OHh yeah theres a few I would love to won as well

Long story short, I have a gene puttign me at high rick of Colon Cancer, and Dr felt that even the 6 monthly colonoscopies I was having was not going to keep that at bay so they are planing to remove mos tof my colon

Sounds scary and is a Major surgery but is the best option

Sorry to hear that... My father ended up having much of his colon removed by "mistake" of the surgeon. He thought it looked suspicious because he had suffered a leak from a small intestinal surgery. It was huge malpractice and my father was compensated but had problems with electrolyte balance the rest of his life (and ultimately killed him.) Why do I mention this? Be careful with hydration after the surgery and your electrolyte levels. I'm sure the surgeon has been over this with you already.

On the bright side some seriously sweet rides!

yeah some nice rides for sure
Yes the surgen did mention that and watching my diet after the surgery

On edge waiting to see the cardiologist tomorrow to see if I am cleared for the surgery

if I have blockages and they need to be cleared they will most likely do that first which would delay the surgery for a year

Just beautiful! There's something magical about classic cars ❤️

Thanks kindly your support is appreciated

Have a great day

Oh my, I hope all is well with you now. I hope you don't have to undergo surgery and that your heart is healthy. You probably is making it work so hard by loving life so much.... Haha, joke joke.
Good thing you have great doctors and nurses there.

Woa! These cars all look so vintage and yeap, classic! I don't see these cars here in my country. Are they still using these in daily basis like the owners use them for running errands or in their day to day living? I am glad they are taking care of them so much so the future kids now will see how far we have really evolved.

Thanks for sharing these to us @tattoodjay.
Be well! Sending my hugs 🤗🥰

LOL I do like your joke I do try to love life to the max :)

I do need the surgery that is for sure, the riskof gettign cancer if I dont is so high, the questionis just when, hopefully the Cardiologist clears me for it today and in two weeks i have it, if she doesnt and needs to do anything to clear blockages near my heart then surgery will be delayed a year

That's kinda sad and I don't know what to say really just makes me sad. I'll pray that all will be well with you sir.
Now, I am battling everyday seeing my 74yo mother in law having Alzheimer's with complications of diabetics and high blood pressure plus both her kidneys are not functioning very well already. She just got out of the hospital last October and ever since my husband and I are the ones taking care of her hands on. Since October we rarely sleep at night because she has high creatinine levels 809 and it's affecting her sleep, very bad insomnia.
It's really very hard.
I just hope all will be well with you too.

Well it is kind of sad but kind of positive as well as it is all to prevernt me from getting cancer :)

So sorry to hear what you and your husband and the stress of looking after your mum

Oh cancer please go away! You are not welcome at @tattoodjay vicinity let alone his body.
Thank you for the words of comfort and sending them back to you too, a hundred folds! Sending some hugs hope you are feeling okay today.

thanks so much truly appreciated

Cheers and !BEER
