Fall foliage over the course of two weeks for @parul2411's #ThursdayTreeLove

I'm back for another installment Thursday Tree Love (hosted by Parul over on her amazing #WordPress blog, Happiness and Food), and I'm posting this with almost two more hours of Thursday left...lol! While I did manage to get outside two weeks ago to get some new photos, I didn't manage to put a post together. So this time I decided to go out and take pictures of the same spots, and do a bit of a comparison of the fall foliage over the course of two weeks. It's still early in the season, but I'm hoping that in another month or so, I can revisit it with a kind of before and after comparison post.

If you want to join in the Tree love fun, it's really easy - here's the description from her latest post today, called #ThursdayTreeLove – 96

Thursday Tree love is a photo feature hosted on this blog on every 2nd and 4th Thursday of a month. The next edition will go live on October 8, 2020. If you would like to play along, post a picture of a tree on your blog and link it back to this post.

If you don’t see the pingback, please leave a link to your post in my comments section. Please make sure that your post’s link is showing up on this latest edition. I will link your posts on my blog in the next edition and spread some love. Let’s come together to appreciate the beautiful nature around us.

Now for my shots - five from September 10th, and five from approximately the same spots from today. Hope you enjoy!

Fall foliage over the course of two weeks

Fall foliage over the course of two weeks
1. A familiar view to Thursday Tree Love - I took this shot on September 10th, standing outside of my bedroom window, with one of the shagbark hickory trees just off center.

2. Now two weeks later, the green is getting replaced by yellows and reds.

3. This is the view to the left of the previous shots, also taken on the 10th.

4. Since I took this a little later in the day today, I got a little bit of lens flare, but you can see the yellow starting to show here as well.

5. Again two weeks ago, looking to the side of our driveway, where everything is still pretty green.

6. And again with the natural bokeh effect...lol. I'll make a point of timing it better on October 8th, but you can still see a bit of the yellow tint starting in.

7. It almost doesn't look like fall in this part of the yard, but if you look closely at the tree just right of center, you can see little hints of yellow.

8. Finally more than a hint of color! This tree always seems to turn first, and fastest.

9. I know they don't count as trees, but you can see the beautiful orange yellow color of the bushes that are starting to turn.

10. Today the bushes are almost more yellow and orange than green - I bet in two more weeks there will be a lot more color behind them too!

Thanks again for giving me the excuse to take a couple short walks around my yard to appreciate the autumn colors before it all disappears, while snapping a few new tree pictures, Parul! I hope to share more fall foliage in another two weeks, and happy Thursday everyone!
