📷 Three new NYC street photography shots [EN/DE]

Although it may look like it at first glance, but there is absolutely nothing burning in this photo. It is simply a typical New York street scene with one of the classic orange taxis passing huge clouds of steam rising from the sewers.

Auch wenn es vielleicht auf den ersten Blick so aussieht, aber es brennt absolut nichts in diesem Foto. Es handelt sich einfach um eine typische New Yorker Straßenszene mit einem der klassischen, orangen Taxis, das riesige, aus der Kanalisation aufsteigende Dampfschwaden passiert.

The motion effect in this shot is not from post-processing. Here I focused on a moving taxi, set an exposure time of a quarter of a second and tried to keep the vehicle in the centre of the frame during the exposure time. It is difficult to get a vehicle in focus with this technique while the background gets blurred. I tried several times and this was my best result.

Der Bewegungseffekt in dieser Aufnahme stammt nicht aus der Nachbearbeitung. Hier habe ich auf ein fahrendes Taxi fokussiert, eine Belichtungszeit von einer Viertelsekunde eingestellt und versucht, das Fahrzeug während der Belichtungszeit in der Mitte des Bildes zu behalten. Es ist schwierig ein Fahrzeug mit dieser Technik scharf abzubilden, während der Hintergrund verschwimmt. Ich versuchte es mehrmals und das hier war mein bestes Ergebnis.

The last picture shows an empty attraction of NYC that was supposed to be full of happy people. Unfortunately, "The Vessel" gained sad fame after people repeatedly committed suicide by jumping down from this unique architectural highlight. After the incidents kept repeating, the structure was closed to visitors (except for the ground floor). What remains is the sad view of the deserted structure from the opposite shopping mall, which the silhouette of this woman is meant to symbolize.

Das letzte Bild zeigt eine leere Attraktion von New York, die eigentlich voller glücklicher Leute sein sollte. Leider erlangte "The Vessel" traurige Berühmtheit, nachdem sich immer wieder Menschen das Leben nahmen, indem sie sich von diesem einzigartigen, architektonischen Highlight hinabstürzten. Nachdem sich die Vorfälle ständig wiederholten, wurde das Bauwerk für Besucher (bis auf das Erdgeschoss) geschlossen. Was bleibt, ist der traurige Blick auf das menschenleere Bauwerk vom gegenüberliegenden Einkaufszentrum, den die Silhouette dieser Frau symbolisieren soll.
